Had to Subscribe just because you're local to me, ............ lol, no seriously, I watch all of Ellaskins videos, and on the most part he talks some real common sense, especially when it comes to "Old Skool" DJ's, like u me and him. Started on vinyl, etc etc etc. I may be older, but I can still mix modern house/"nu disco" tracks without any problems, but agreed, mumble rap could basically kill the music business if it gets too popular, I hate the crap!!!!!!

I agree to an extent, my only issue with stand alone controllers at the moment is that they use a free to use and are a fully outdated file system, and to use a good file system then someone would have to buy some kind of license from either Microsoft or apple. It’s hard to put across why this would be good but let me put it like this using software live would be a thing of the past if that were to happen almost over night.

Good video, I think the sync button and the breed of instant out of the box microwave dj's have ruined the art-form, the sync button is totally abused, the main problem is not just the robotically locked beats ...that in itself has no soul and lacks the organic sound of a DJ , the sounds that let you know someone was up there doing something. The main issue is how quickly tunes are mixed , every 32 bars a track changes which has caused a huge demand for thousands of tunes....all churned out in a few days, utterly minimal and soulless , didn't happen like that in the vinyl days...the tunes were proper bangers and are still played now , I have to skip 400 tunes to find a few bangers and then can only count them on one hand. I hate the sync button .
