Thanks for this. 47 years ago I was 15 and was fortunate enough to witness this from the right side of the stage 7 row backs. No obstructed view because the amps were suspended above. At 2:58:58 when Plant says "And that wasn't so good" he had to duck from a whiskey bottle that just missed his head.

This gig was good especially this remaster. I used to think it was much worse than it is. RP was hoarse but nowhere near as bad as early 73/75. Jimmy looked tired and wasn't moving as much as normal. But his playing is inspired. This is very evident during the Stairway solo. For Bonham, it was a great show. JPJ, of course, held it all together.

I’m so used to the Millard tape…but it’s quite nice to hear the show from a different vantage point in the arena. Thanks for this post!

Saw them on fire during the 1975 American Tour at Long Beach Arena,Calif. Tickets only $10.50 and they played 3 hours and a half non stop!! Best concert of my life and I saw many since.Our audience was quiet and respectable not like this noisy one. Truly enjoyed and took it all in with passing joints.🤗

Did Jimmy change outfits during the show?? He's wearing white by OTHAFA which was later in the set than usual on 6/22. Or was the audio from 6/22 matched to other 77 footage?

This might be the best sounding of LA 77 run of shows from an audience tape. This is also an epic run of shows.

Robert's voice warms up nicely after a few songs. Bonzo is ON Fire. Jimmy is soaring.

I saw Pb in 4 cities with none as bad an acoustic handicap as Freedom Hall. It was over miked for the space. John's drum and other percussion instruments were over amped. John Paul was under miked. And, it still sounded awesome. I was 13 and Jimmy Page was a dreamlike shaman to me. I only heard his guitars. I only saw Jimmy. He was Led Zeppelin. The other great and oh so talented musicians were ancillary. The late 60s and 70s to the 77 or so were perfect except for Vietnam. Plant after a few songs said in his soft Lilt " we intent to play for you as best we can, but could everyone in the front not push forward, there are some ladies coming over the barricade( those were not the words he used) that look unwell.). Those " young ladies" were almost where they wanted to be and had fought to get to Robert since they took the stage.

I've heard this show a time or three - Plant was in good voice, Jimmy played very well and Bonham and Jones were exceptional, as always.
