Mine qualifies as a Mechanical Startup. Into the design and development of Drones (Air,Water, Land and beyond 😊😊) for all that mouthfull i am still a zygote !! never mind that ... One of the biggest challenges I faced and I don't say this lightly is the choice of MCAD software. Over the past few decades it was ACAD ... and then later Sketchup . was intridcued to Sold-Works got a FREE Startup licence .at an incbator .. that was an intersting expereince ... but pretty quickly I fell out of interest. I was looking at something lighter and more SEPCIFIC to MECH ... so began the entry into other softwares ... got a Fusion 360 STARTTUP LICENCE fully featured FREE for a year and then was extended to another year and that was awesome ... F360 support team is amazing . In between I did explore Onshape ... naaah their commercial structure was not attractive. so stuck with F360 (no regrets) Last year I started onto FREECAD .... weeeeeee that was a ride I finally got out of. (I am not discouraging you to try it ... I guuess it may have matured tremendously now ...its your call). So here we are I am so happy with Fusion 360 ... right now I am using the FREE version and it is enough for my present work. But here is an interesting thought. I use Sketchup a LOT for visualisation and creating rough mockups . I strongly suggest you to have multi software apporach. I see myslelf working with F360 as the main and having a parallel line for Onshape.... Over time of course get grand and look at Catia, Ansys and all those big boys !!!

But these are known facts. Its prpevalent in ALL our industries . The first thing we do is game the system. And EVERYONE is in on it. ( baring a super minority who get sadly minimised to zero ...like you and me!!) Go to any expo ... all of "them" will be sniggering in the back ground ...but in front each one will be patting the other on the back for "making in India" WE THE CITIZNES ARE TO BLAME. Never mind all that. The timelines we set is another Disney fantasy. 2030 ?????? I have ALWAYS appreciated the govnment policies ... it is up to us the citizens to STRAIGHTEN IT OUT and give the right direction and put in the sustained effort ... our patriotism is limited to filling our pockets !!! and that too in small amounts !!

I just love your videos and content ... honest and upfront. Hope to build a strong association with you. Right now I am working on an airframe ...once it reaches some reasonable maturity ...maye you could have a look at it for the electronics and sensor integration part. (just thinking alouud)

Sir I will start my BTech(ECE) at MIT manipal this year currently a HS student. I have decided to join and take part in student clubs and projects related to hardware engineering. I'd like to know how can I gain experience from this growing industry from the first year itself. Also do such startups like agam, vectortechnics, etc do they take interns if requested unpaid. I have researched a lot over the available resources but can't find much on this regard on india, also if possible is japan a good destination for hardware engineering internships and good ROI.
