I completely understand your struggles with finding suitable food. I was just on holiday and I’m vegetarian, which I get is my choice, but everywhere sold meat and the only options were margarita pizza, tomato pasta or asking for things without meat (which was hard with a language barrier). We were also away when the football was on and it was a nightmare trying to go out of an evening and get to sleep! 😂

The social media hook it’s very relatable like I literally unfollowed 100 people to try and reduce my time spent scrolling and somehow I’m spending more time. I should be revising for my exams and I tell myself that whilst I’m scrolling but I continue it anyways. Also I completely get the subconscious pressure to be with someone. When your mates and family are seeing people or asking you if your seeing someone it can increase the pressure you might feel to find someone without them realising - especially if it’s something you’ve been thinking about a bit more recently. Just know your worth and standards and don’t settle for less (even if it feels right) because having the realisation that the relationship isn’t for you when your in it is a lot harder than saying no straight away. Try to increase the positive habits that you do daily that make you feel good like reading or knitting (I think you mentioned that you knit before) even if it’s just 20 minutes because that might be all you need one day to just feel good! Hope you have a lovely week ❤

It sounds like with things getting overwhelming and struggling with homesickness, physical sickness etc, has knocked your confidence a bit. Maybe I am looking too deep into it. Please make sure to give yourself some time. I know you are going through difficult things you would prefer to keep private (understandable) and you probably won't feel like pampering yourself or watching movies, or seeing people perhaps, but these are things you need right now. You need to take care of yourself and nurture yourself. You deserve that. I will be sticking around, watching your vlogs. I don't find this video boring in the slightest, and whilst it is sad to see that you're going through some things... I want you to continue to use the outlets that you're familiar and comfortable with. Feel better soon. From a fellow Lincoln student, much love xx

Back to UoL tomorrow and I can already see my first essay I have to do -sigh- Its a scientific critique. I am second year, but in the second half of second year since I am part time. I found that first year didn't really prepare me for the second year. The workload, at least in Psychology, is quite a bit more if I am honest with you. I felt thrown into the deep end and others said the same. However, you do adjust to it. All the anxieties I had at the beginning, particularly around that work load and the knowledge that my grades now count, decreased over time. I don't want to raise your anxiety but I wanted to give some reassurance that it gets easier if you happen to feel out of depth like I did. Also, you can see second year as prep for the 3rd year because most weighting is taken from which year you perform best in x
