Had it for a week I wanted to love it but the shell warped so bad on the hinge side I could stick my arm up into the tent

Nice review but the music is competing with your voice making it a bit more difficult to listen. Background music should be in the background, otherwise, good stuff. 😊

finally ive been looking for a review on this tent. I got mine like a week ago, first time roof top tent owner, any tips for mounting it on the truck? its heavy af lol
You’ll definitely need two people to lift it onto the truck! It depends on the type of cross bars but I just installed it with the supplied u bolt style clamps without the rubber things they gave

@@wess1454 no problem! Yeah you can close a sleeping bag In there just smooth it out first! My camping pillow is super flat lol so it fits with that but if you have a thicker pillow I don’t think it would.

Sweet video and even sweeter truck! How does the softopper do with the tailgate pad? I know the rear window could flap because it’s not secured with the regular Velcro but what’s your opinion on it? Thanks!
Thank you! It works well with the tailgate pad, it does come in contact with the bar that holds the window down but I just push the tailgate a little harder to close it lol. I actually put the velcro strips that came with the Softopper on the bike pad to hold the rear window down.
you could put magnets under the velcro of the window flap and sew it back closed

what size tires and lift do you have?
Have a 2” Eibach Lift in the front and roughly 1.5” in the rear with the Icon RXT Leaf Springs on option 1. Im running 285/75/16 Yokohama Geolandar M/T tires!

I don’t know the name of the trail since a buddy mapped it out but it was in the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri. Tons of cool trails in the area!

How’s the wind noise on that DV8 rack?
It's really not too bad, but with a really heavy gust of wind or washboard roads it can vibrate since it's pretty thin aluminum. I put some rubber spacers under the mounting feet and put the wind fairing as high as it would go as well as some foam stripping on the sides and it fixed all of that.
