Thanks for the review! Have you tried the Monoprice Monolith THX-365C 3-way at $500 USD? There are very few comparisons between it and the Prime/Ultra. Also, may want to check audio balance and actually show the grilles up to the camera, though I realize it’s an old video.

The Prime is just way way too harsh on the treble. I'd only get it if I needed a 3 way center for wide dispersion on a budget. The Ultra is the real star of the show here but the price is way too much that the Monolith 365c puts it to sleep and considering the price of the Monolith is less or about the same as the Prime I dont see the allure here for SVS.

Hey 'little' nephew ;-) Great place man! Especially that it's newly built. My place is as well and the high(er) ceilings, good heat isolation and of course good SOUND isolation is a big win. With a place like this for yourself and the great HiFi collection you've gathered you're a rich man, regardless how much you got on the bank. I'm curious how everything is looking now and if everybody who helped carrying the QLS'es didn't break anything ;-). I'm also automating things in my place with Home Assistant. For the lights in my hallway, toilet, bathroom and boiler room I used motion sensors from Ikea for only 15 euros each. Did you do anything about the QLS without the banana plug connections? And did you paint the side's of the 2000's yourself or were they actually sold that way originally? I'm still loving my 2000's so so much, for the sound and of course the emotional value. I was wondering if any maintenance or 'check up' is advised for these 'vintage' speakers. I don't hear anything that make me say that, but I wonder IF I would actually be able to hear it in case the quality is very slowly decreasing. Anyways, I'll keep an eye out for your channel and hope you're doing well. Groet, Rutger

The good onkyo stuff are from 2010 to back age. But new technology are bad. Because are made in china. All my technology stuff are vintage

Then u must have to hear my MB Quart Reference 1.88 Meter large and one of them weight about 150 Kilogramms. I have the Ql S 29 too. But u are didnt listening anything like the Active Referenz from MB Quart. These details are amazing and the bass u dont need any Subwoofer anymore if u have these two Monster speaker. So when I got the ql s 29 the man had the Reference that I have now and I heard the ql s 29 at first. Then I asked him to hear the Reference and I startet to cry so amazing was it. I have the M5090 power amplifier with the P3099 preamp in my stereo and I am super happy with the sound quality, power, looks and build quality. The m5090 can handle speaker loads down to 2 ohms I believe - not too many can do that. In my setup, I married American speakers with British speakers and the sound is fantastic. You done good with your setup too. Enjoy!

I have an Onkyo M5099, looks very similar. Love the meters and the build quality.

I'm listening to this with Sony 1000xm4 and I can't tell that much of a difference. Either the Ultra isn't worth twice the cost as the primes or you recorded this with a shitty mic.

I'm writing a comment because your volume output for this video is very weak compared to the great many other UA-cam videos out there. It's hard to compare this video to others because the volume is so weak. It would also be better to take shorter video sections and compare them more quickly than playing long sections and expecting us to grasp the differences between the speakers. Too much time passes between what we hear and the next section that plays the same section of the video. On the upside, thank you for not wasting our time talking instead of playing the speakers so we can hear the differences between them.

You sold me via MArktplaats broken (Castle) speakers. When I complained you did NOT respond anymore. You are just an old CROOK = OPLICHTER. Guys be aware of this crook!
