There are also sitautions where the reverse is true. A child may misuse the funds of a parent, usually elderly or incapaciated. Please tell the version of the parenting dad.

What parents should do instead is teach their children how to save in the bank and not keep money in the home. Sometimes, the easy access to the money becomes an emergency fund for use. You can tell me in the comments, if you think I am wrong.
