Why is it always one earth ship?

I have some questions. How is it that their opponents shields withstand a full on barrage of human weapons, yet later on fail and a flagship explodes? And again when a smaller ship explodes, it shakes the surrounding enemy ships with destructive effect? Then, shooting the gap, all of a sudden human weapons can knock out enemy engines? What happened to the mighty shields? And what’s with the “did we do that?” Oh, no, we didn’t do that. Well then who the heck did? Too many disruptions in the logic here. Maybe try editing before publishing. Because this is incoherent and silly. People that like sci-fi are not ignorant. And yet here you are, treating them as if they are. Kind of disgusting.
