Movie was all Devils & Demons are #1 while given no true representation of the power of God, faith in him, the power of forgiveness & redemption. The priest never even attempted to save Edward's soul through confession & repentance. An edgy, dark, downer by design... because the film makers wanted it to be just that.

Very stirring film especially during these times of spiritual strife...
Something I realize about the story of demons, is that they don’t have an arch ever. They are stagnant. A battle they can’t possibly win, couldn’t have possibly won at all. Ever angry, ever rebellious. But what about after that? They fought, they fell, then what? All the anger and thoughts of morality and yet it’s always pointed at what humans do and humans actions. I would be like if you guys were as great as you say you are, you would’ve learned after all this time, not sprouting the same shit you did 2000 years ago and still mad about shit haha.

Most realistic portrayal of a demon I have seen on film. Bitter, spiteful, frighteningly intelligent and always prodding at your weaknesses trying to drag you down to their level

Either the "demon" is messing with him by saying that or due to the unborn child not being baptized or maybe in ancient times offering up a sacrifice to a pagan god or deity will grant them access to that sacrificial lamb.
