The Rode NT2, my first mic bought it in 1999 for $250?, and still have it (my go to the Senn 416). The NT2 wasn't in production long. They had to change the name, and body, from the NT2 to the NT2-A due to Neumann lawsuit.

Hard mic to find! Am happy to say that I own one. Have had it for 20 years! I keep it tucked away in its box most of the time these days (I'm not really active anymore). I think it's worth mentioning that this mic is a Neumann U87-inspired mic (some would come right out & call it a clone). You can see what they were getting at with this one. Lovely mic for vocals. I need to dig mine out & get active again!

Does it provide two different outputs when used as 8 pattern ?? When two singers are singing simultaneously.

Am i the only one that dont think thats a Rode nt2?

I bought one new when they came out and I've found it substandard in every way to the NTK. I've tried it as a room mic, on amps, acoustic guitars (neck, body, and over the shoulder), as part of a stereo pair, and with a variety of preamps... the brightness is just too overpowering and the body is sooo brittle; maybe mine came from the factory with a flaw, but Rode has great QC, so I don't suspect so. I've held onto it bc I've heard with an RK-47 capsule the high quality of the Rode build becomes something much more rounded and full-bodied... or, more like the NTK - which is about the best sounding mic I've encountered. But I guess we all have our favorites 🤣🤣🤣 Well done video, BTW. I'll pull that old NT2 out again and give it a try with video... THAT I haven't tried with it!
