Nintendo Switch and its Games are Lazy, Greedy, and Incompetent
I honestly believe Nintendo is heading down a quality hole.

Hope sony consider about psvita2,we need another handheld,i know It will only come true in my dream.😔
I think they were feeling a lot more charitable with Ocarina of Time 3D because they badly needed that damn 3DS to sell. Most of the people who bought a 3DS that year did so for that game. They sure didn’t buy it for 3ds street fighter 4 or mario 3d land…
Fuck nintendo and fuck everything they represent
None of this is necessarily stuff I haven’t heard before. I hear people talk about bad stuff with Nintendo all the time. I don’t think Nintendo is some Horrible unreliable gaming company. I treat it like all the others. If the trailer is. Interesting I’ll play it.
blame the fanbois and noobs. we have been trying to warn you for years that only thing they do is destroy.
It's a shame you didn't talk about Animal Crossing: New Horizons because it has 90% less content than 3DS Animal Crossing: New Leaf did. But because of the pandemic, it sold so many copies. I'm very worried for the faith of the franchise.
I 100% agree with the analysis of Mario Odyssey. Collecting Moons feels like an absolute uneventful drag when they're being thrown at you for the esiest tasks at every corner. Don't base your collectathon game around an abundant item. Collecting it needs to feel earned and it really doesn't in this case especially because the counter eventually just stops before you even collected all of them. The game is just way to easy in general. If you don't want to frustrate kids make a dedicated easy mode for them but I can guarantee even most of them would rather pick a more difficult setting just for the challenge. Aside from this a lot of the world's themes feel very flat. I hope these problems will be fixed in the next 3D Mario Game.
I don't know if I'd say greed. I don't doubt it exists but they are also shutting down free advertising they get from fans.
I don't know what I expected but it wasn't this I won't get into any specifics but I'll just say a lot of your arguments sound very privileged and uninformed.
@@Jasperr9999 Okay
I'd argue that NSMBU Deluxe is actually a downgrade. Unlike the wii U version, if you wanna play 4 player, one person is gonna have to use an easy-mode character. You even need to put in a code every time you start the game to disable the new stupid spin jump control.
Is this man really pulling a "spongebob skin theory" on us where he releases an absolute banger, refuses to elaborate, and then leaves? Also sadly BOTW 2 did not overshadow the original, if anything it just made it's faults and the faults of nintendo blatantly obvious.
Hey brotha I hope everything is well with you. Saw that you haven't posted another video but that's okay just hope you are doing well.
you're 100% right ab odyssey and botw
kirbys forgotten land is one of those games that is complete and well-made
I dont understand why people always complain about stuff like fps and graphics quality ect... over everything else. why cant you just enjoy the game for its gameplay quality alone then afterwards consider the minor inconvenience of not have a better view of things?
@jaydedowling9252 except I did complain about the gameplay too? Also you realize that presentation quality is a huge part of game feel right? Like an action game running at 12fps is not going to PLAY as well as the same game running at 60fps. Gameplay, performance and presentation are all tied together. It's like an album being mixed incorrectly and then saying "just enjoy it for the music" when the mixing is directly affecting the quality of the songs.
@@bossrushgame thats true but I feel I presented my point wrong so let's flip the argument around for clarity... (and this is completely hypothetical btw) Let's say you had enough money to buy a $60 game... You see that one game has great visual presentation and full 60fps with no frame drops, but the main gameplay is tired, repetitive and uninspired... The other game seems to be praised for its solid gameplay mechanics and impressive replay value but has lesser framerate, the game looks like someone smeared grease on the screen and there is a chance to stumble into a handful of glitches... Which one would you buy?
@@bossrushgame Incorrect, games can actually have separate framerates for visuals and control inputs. They can also have varying framerates of different objects on screen and separate sections of games as well. The N64 Zeldas have 3 different framerates for the actual gameplay, pause menu and file select screen
@@AkameGaKillfan777 Yeah and even Some of the FF games did this on ps1 where menu was 30-60 fps while gameplay was like 15-20 fps
Theur next console can fix all of this. Never give up hope.
Dude, what a perfect video, please make another talking about the newer ports, I loved everything you said about BOTW and Odyssey Come baaaaaaaack
The switch was great for 2017 but now id rather have a steam deck & emulate the nintendo stuff
"When one Flys so high they will eventually forget the ground beneath them and fall." -Sone greek guy, probably
They all have one thing in common, greed
Extremely lazy.
Bro makes one video to beat up the only above average video game company while riding the meat of every other one.
How do you make a video so good? It seems so hard to do....
The video is garbage and the only good points he makes are points every single Nintendo youtube ever have already talked to death about. Everybody critiqued Nintendo switch sports, how games like Battle League and Golf were lackluster and got no support, the flaws of Botw and Totk, and even titles like Odyssey get flak at times over stuff like lame completion rewards or the varying quality of the kingdoms. The same goes for Mario party Superstars and Super Mario Party. He's not doing or saying anything revolutionary here. Also, his standards seem very inconsistent regarding what he considers a "good port" vs a bad one since he was perfectly willing to praise the megaman legacy collections(collections the fandom is split on since the X version has severe input delay and can't fully support the snes aspect ratio making it look way uglier). They are glorified emulators in a sense and are only valuable due to price and ease of access(since they bundle the games up in one cohesive whole). But yet he says a whole new mode(that is surprisingly substantial), a third tier of boost that completely changes the way the game plays for certain characters, and having all the DLC from the previous game bundled in(while also lying about everything being unlocked) is apparently "barely passable". Not to mention, his thesis was that the games were lazy, greedy, and incompetent(the third of which implies that they don't function or are just poorly put together), yet the only games in this list where that really applies is for Pokemon and the rest of the time he just spends making shallow critiques of some games he doesn't think are perfect which isn't relevant to his thesis whatsoever. He himself admits that Mario's moveset in Odyssey is the best in the series so OBVIOUSLY, it's not COMPLETELY lazy and it runs really well so OBVIOUSLY it's not incompetent. Which isn't fully owned by Nintendo anyway. Only explanation on why he did this was because he's sloppy with his video writing. And everyone in the comments has already clowned on the dude for undercutting the whole thing with Xenoblade. And the most embarrassing part is that he identified MONSTER FUCKING HUNTER as a Nintendo game when it's CAPCOM. Also let it be known that the price argument for modern Nintendo is a bit dodgy since their games always costed an arm and a leg, even back in the nes days. Super Mario Bros 3 costed 49.99 back in the day. Fairly low until you adjust for inflation and find out that in today's cash, that would be 120 dollars. Not to mention the only reason why Pikmin 3 for the wii u cost 20 bucks was cause the value dropped(which makes sense since nobody bought the wii u). On launch, it was around 50-60 bucks. And one can argue that was too much since the game was criticized for being way too short and way too easy. That's why it was often considered to be a casual mess of a game that just looked pretty by some of the fans. If he's pissy about the price and why the games rarely go on sale, that's the fault of the economy and just high demand for Nintendo products in general. The video was under-researched, shallow, dishonest and is nothing more than a glorified slop rant whose only good points have been made a billion times before. If you want a youtube who actually does a solid job criticizing Nintendo, go to Demeech or hell, any channel that makes weekly video on Nintendo cause a lot of them have PLENTY to say about the antics of their favorite company(spoiler alert, it isn't pleasant).

Nintendo fanboys are utterly delusional, and this coming from someone whose first 3 gaming consoles were all from Nintendo. They don't make them like they used to. I don't even care about the quality of the games, it's the cheap and crappy quality hardware that pisses me off. My Wii from 2009 has been through 2 different houses (all around the place), and it's still functioning perfectly, along with my original Wii Remote. The same can't be said for Switch, which can bend and break really easily, and the joycons are cheaply made.
This isn't mentioning how much more content the wii gives when you mod it.

(She ended up with a switch lite after that) It feels cheaply made. I love the switch and a lot of the games mentioned in this video, but the declining quality and the increasing prices are terrible. I hope nintendo can improve
Nintendo doesn't need to improve, as there are plenty of idiots out there still buying their crappy quality hardware. Other handhelds like the Steam deck are astronomically better in terms of build quality, and the fact that they can even emulate Switch games, makes it the Switch Killer.
@@StardustLegacyFighter If it was going to be the switch killer. It should have been in store shelves and it's not better than a switch and I'm saying this as a steam deck owner of my own. Why would you play the games on the Steam deck If you can also play them on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series S or on your PC or cell phone. Yes, like I've mentioned I have a steam deck, The only difference is I don't say it's better than the other considering the fact the consoles don't exist.
R.I.P wii u OH WAIT, PRETENDO also for me (male, 12 just wanted to point that out), lets go eevee was (now is again, my old switch's fan broke) pretty fun
I expect Nintendo to go the way of Sega in the not too distant future. Nintendo used to have a lot of quality games back in the day and the greatest number of quality games during the SNES era. After Nintendo screwed Sony over, Sony got their revenge with many game developers going over to Sony and leaving Nintendo high and dry. This was the beginning of the end for Nintendo.
I have to disagree. I don't see Nintendo going the way of Sega anytime soon due to how they're succeeding with the Switch. If you look at the sales, the Switch is on the verge of reaching DS and the PS2 numbers and maybe outselling them. The reason why Sega became third party is because the 32X, Saturn and Dreamcast were met with commercial failures and poor decision making. Nintendo faced a similar situation with the Wii U due its confusing name and poor advertising. If it wasn't for the success of the 3DS, Nintendo would have faced the worse situation. There's a reason why Nintendo's main portable systems like the Gameboy and the DS families tend to do so well while most of their home consoles did not. They did, however, get lucky with the Wii because it was launched at the right time before the rise of smartphones. The Wii was popular with the casual audience. The Switch successor is on its way soon, and I don't see the company making the same mistake they did with the Wii U. If Nintendo plays their cards right like they did with the Switch, the successor should be fine. Yeah, the next system may not do Switch numbers, but I doubt it's going to become a commercial failure if Nintendo remains smart with their marketing strategy. And here's another reason why I don't think they're going to stop making hardware anytime soon. Unlike Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo tends to be overprotective of their IPs and they're very concerned with piracy. So the company putting their games on non-Nintendo gaming systems is unlikely. If anything else, Microsoft has a better chance of going the way of Sega before Nintendo does. Microsoft is putting most of their games on PC so what's the point of getting an Xbox? Even Sony is following what Microsoft is doing by putting their games on Steam.
You seriously need to educate yourself on SEGA's failures if you think the Switch is going to almost put an end to an entire company
personally, I think nintendo is starting to improve. Their newer releases, such as Mario Wonder, TOTK, and Pikmin 4 are honestly some good games, you could argue theyare some of the best in their respective franchises. I agree with many of your claims, but I really think we should have some hope for the future.

Yeah, 2020-2022 were just low points. Nowhere near as low as 2015-2016, but still low.
Say what you all about Nintendo, but they're one of the few companies that sell complete, relatively bug-free experiences, and they can do it a lot more often than Microsoft and Sony because their games don't take a decade to make (usually. Looking at you, Metroid Prime 4.) And no, Pokemon doesn't count because that's not actually made by Nintendo. It's definitely not excusable for them to allow Game Freak to release games in the state they do, but that's a completely separate issue.
@MrGamelover23 I don't know that "bug-free" is what I prioritize, though (also, I had just as many "bugs" in TOTK as I had in Elden Ring). Games are massive, technical undertakings and I can put up with an issue here or there for vision, effort and care. Games like Lies of P, Alan Wake 2, RE4make etc. are amazing to me even if they aren't devoid of bugs.
@@bossrushgame While you do make a decent point, and I admittedly am relaying information secondhand, I keep hearing about how broken games launch these days. Fortunately, I don't have the kind of income that lets me frequently spend $70 to get disappointed.
@@MrGamelover23I agree with you
dark souls 1 remastered being $40, or even 1/2 off for us PTDE owners (for only 1 year btw), for the extremely limited number of fixes, and the debacle that was the PTDE in the first place, should have cost $5 outright as an apology. I will not accept any other takes.
also definitely could maintain a bit stronger stance on such high cost of lazy remakes and ports simply because 'they're to the standards of today' when the cost back then was the same.

I felt the same thing when I played it on the Wii U years ago… And I felt like I was crazy cause no one mentioned a single flaw of the game, but they do that with Mario and Zelda I already know the next Zelda will be 10/10 according to every reviewer, I might even understand because Nintendo fans are crazy and if they criticize their precious game reviewers could get even death threats
I feel like your critique of Mario oddessy was kinda shit. You say you feel like it was made for children(I'll get back to this) , yet you don't elaborate on what you said about much of anything you say excepte for the moons like the last 2 worlds. Each world has very different themes, the only thing I feel like your critique gets right is Cascade and Wooden kingdom, the forest paradise aspect makes them blend together, and also, if you don't enjoy collecting the moons, don't collect the moons you don't like, that's the beauty of having so many moons. Also your thing about being made for the sensibility's of a child, buddy that's every Mario game, and if you expect these games to have depth in aspects like STORY, and CHARACTER GROWTH, play one of the old RPG's. Also did you make it to darker side of the moon, adults' have a hard time with that. I think it's cool that you think you're so cool making the Gazillionth nintendo sucks video, but if you're gonna try to go through the games, at least make video's on the one's you don't like, and try to applie actually criticism. Your takes on the sport games were kinda spot on though.
