This is not one of my best videos, This place was pretty interesting but there wasn’t much to see other than some of the structures still standing!
ABANDONED FORT ORANGE PAPER MILL
Переглядів 24810 місяців тому
This exploration was a bit different from the others i have done in the past, in this video i explore an abandoned paper mill and while its still barley standing i can still make out some of the equipment that was used in this mill because i work in a paper mill so the environment was more familiar and the graffiti was very impressive and colorful!🔥🎨📸 My instagram: jake_towne

So many programs out there that promise you'll quit drinking from one day to the next and feel great for the rest of your life. Listen, Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever takes a lighter, safer approach which you decide to go with at your own pace. Best shortcut I go’ogled that only took days to rewire my brain to continually experience mental peace.
Go to the Fire Tower. I was born and raised in Beacon, NY and actually rode the incline railway more than once but hiked the mountain (including the Fire Tower) several times as a teen-ager. On one hike to the Fire Tower which was still manned by a Forest Ranger (George Ketchum), I was invited into his workspace and was able to view the Hudson Valley with his binoculars. Search the internet and if successful you may come across a picture of George in the tower. Back in my time, not far from the Casino (northly) was a building that housed an FM radio station which was also manned. A radio technician's shift was 2-3 days. The building had bedrooms, kitchen, shower, etc which made for a comfortable environment. I could go on but will close for now.
They just knocked it down last week 🤦🏼♂️
Hell yea awesome Mann 🤘💯💯💯

@@Jake_Townealready did 😊
bro I live 20 minutes away from this place!!! they put nets up on it bc it’s falling down
For some odd reason, I found this to be effing amazing! I don't know why I found it to be so amazing, it just is! Please, more abandoned pool videos! By the way, where is this? Amaze-balls!
I’m from out here and kick myself for never going. You snooze, you lose!
❤ beautiful waterfall
Rip headphones users 😂
lol in that one part it does get loud 😂
@@Jake_Towne it's okay somehow it scared my dog more than me
Hell yea absolutely awesome Mann I love your videos respectfully well deserved I love Mann u are so awesome 👏
I’ve always enjoyed watching these urbex type videos. It looks thrilling to explore an abandoned place.
Dude, Alls good. Love your channel but...Im from same area- is there anyway you can say the name of these places? Is this one on central ave in Albany ?
i appreciate it. Unfortunately i dont give out locations. Do the research explore at your own risk!
@@Jake_Towne Already did it. SS Lanes for sure. You mentioned water slide world and a few others tho? so secrets? OK thanks
Man I want to do a photoshoot here so badly when I finish this scifi costume I'm making. It's exactly the kind of location I've been looking for! A shame I'm too worried about the cops finding me. I'm so bad at sneaking around, and if it was in costume that looks like it's military gear? Yeah, hello no! I'd be spotted from a mile away.
This is sick to see me and my buddies arent the only ones who have been here, i used to live bike ride with walking distance away from the factory. XD
very Cool!
Well done for quitting brother!
Thanks! 🤙🏼
Those mixed drinks are horrible. I remember having fried alligator tail down south and then had a few of them. and completely blacked out and some how woke up in my hotel room. Thought it was the alligator but a later life event proved it was the drinks. Quit them right then and there. I only have a shot of whiskey every now and then on the weekend to this day.
Good vid Jake! It's honorable that you was easily able to share your mistakes and try to give lessons to other people. I think I might do the same and talk about why I don't smoke weed
Thanks Q! Definitely do it! 🔥
this is why i prefer to smoke cannabis
nice videos it was a paper mill and was the main source of employment for the town back in late 1800s used to work in the power plant on the other side of the creek so i got to see a lot of this but very cool video keep it up.
great video, please make more!
Nice variety of stuff, glad you didn't climb the cell tower.
Happy Holidays bro 🌲Great video 👍(be careful)
I hope one day to travel the world n see amazing things like your self u are truly an awesome Mann I’m glad we stay n touch bro u are freaking awesome 😱🤟💯💯💯💯
Hell yea nice video Jake 😱💯💯💯
Hey Jake this is a awesome video Mann I love watching your exploring videos looking at abandoned houses and stuff it’s really cool how u do this type of awesome work it’s such awesome shit Mann I absolutely love it hell yea man keep doing this great work I am a big supporter in what u do bro 💯
Good show, I used to do some electrical contract work on their battery charging systems for the electric fork lift trucks they had in use in there. Maybe next time you could find their steam generating system. It had to be a large boiler system. The electrical generating company right next to them was built partially to supply steam to the paper mill but shortly after getting the system all hooked up and eliminating Ft Orange paper from having to generate their own steam, Ft. Orange paper went out of business. I lived near by and a lot of my friends worked there and all lost their jobs. Sad day for all. I offended wondered if the machinery was left in the building but it all was sold or scraped. If anyone would want to know more about Ft Orange Paper, I'm sure more is listed about it on the Times Union web site about its demise.
From 93'-97' My Montclair Mounties would beat both Kennedy and Eastside high on that field. It was HORRIBLE back then turf and all. I'm happy for that Historical Place to have gotten its renovation. Nonetheless it's a ABSOLUTE HISTORICAL LANDMARK and deserved to be restored
Dude you're up there high..The view is awesome
That POOL Needs to be Skated......! That would be a Killa Spot to SK8.....! Massive respect from Slamcrew North West London...! 👌 keep up with the good work 👌 👍👍👍👍
Great 👍 video..! Massive respect from Slamcrew North West London. 👌 Keep up the good work 👌 👍👍👍👍

Absolutely!!!
this makes me want to get a drone again
I love my drone! Its definitely worth having in the camera bag!!
those drone shots were fuego 🔥🔥
Thanks! They came out so good!!
Just drove by last week, couldn’t believe it was abandoned. Really enjoyed your video, couldn’t believe this was the Water Slide World I’ve been to so many times.
Sounds kinda dumb but seeing some of this brought tears to my eyes. So many amazing memories here from my childhood and it’s so sad it’s all been demolished now😕
👏👏👏👏
They have concerts in there...and yes water is supposed to be in there.
Just as crazy as the people that live there...
For what it's worth the claims supervisor from 24:34 died may 2021 at age 86 Iirc the building was used to store office documents towards the end of its life in the 80s and 90s
It's owned by the New York State Museum now (with whom I'm in contact). Nice job on the video, especially the aerial views.
From above the pool looks like an arena
Yea its pretty cool!
wanna go tn
No. And its been bought by someone already so new owners have already taken ownership of the property.
@@Jake_Towne lol we still went
What a bummer, it was still in such good condition when sold. Tearing it all down and making way for apartments is a shame... I would have liked to see it continue as a water park.
Nice
yaaayyyy a new video!!!
Yess! Felt good to get back out and film and go on an adventure! Hope you enjoy! 🔥
Does the cave open up to a bigger chamber?
Under demolition now :(. Glad you posted this!
Hope you go big
Saw your sticker on Osborne road! Yolo!
