The old model I have used ever since you have been PC gaming has been a12025-12cb-3bn-f1. I never even actually knew they had a stronger 120mm fan other than that since I never did any research. I thought they were all the same until last week when I looked around and found these were rated the best cheap 120mm fans. These blow way more. I suggest anybody who wants an upgrade to get this brand.

I'll do my best to help. Are you saying that you plugged your ARGB cable from your AIO into a 4-pin header on the mobo? Which header is it? There should be a designation on the mobo, or you can look in your manual. Is this your mobo: www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/A620M%20Pro%20RS%20WiFi/index.asp If the header has 4 pins and is black at the base with a tab on one side, that's a PWM header to control the fan, not the lights. If the header has a white base and 4 pins, it's most likely RGB (not ARGB). Both of them use 12V. An ARGB header uses 5V. If you plug an ARGB cable into an RGB header, you'll fry the lighting.

So far I think it's well worth $8 but really appreciate your video as I think mine was a return / there was no booklet with it when I picked it up today, so now I can turn the lights off and not have to unplug it lol my main problem with it is the wrist rest, when using this keyboard not flat on a desk for gaming, it actually pops up and impinges the space bar, so if I decide it's worth keeping the rest on it -- will upgrade the magnets. My perspective is utter hatred of flat keys and many many years of $20 logitech basic keyboards though.

@@ThePCExpertAmateur I toyed with the idea of replacing one fan for another, but seeing as the pack contained 3 fans, I decided to think out of the box. I replaced the fan that was on it's way out and sure enough no it wasn't as powerful as the one I had.. but I used another fan as well (connected to Molex) using a heat resistant non-permanent adhesive, I stuck it to the floor facing upwards. Mixed with the outside temperatures dropping rapidly (about 20 degrees Fahrenheit) I have to say, this has worked a treat. The GPU was idling @137F / CPU @120F Hard Drives around 120 (C drive) / 100 for the other drives - Compared to now = GPU 98F / CPU 90F - Hard Drives C= 82F / Other Drives in the 70's. I could care less about how loud a fan is. I use 19v 3amp power supply from a lap top to power 2 fans on my AIO ,140mm x2 and 1 240mm fan in the front of my case. I can control the speed. I leave it at 100%. Once i put my headset or headphone on there is no way i can hear the fans. I dont understand why it is so important to people to have the quietest fan. Im speaking from a gaming point of view only. I seen these fans on Ebay for $9 for 140mm fan and wanted to see what they looked like since the photos were crap. So thank you for making this video. You're welcome. I'm glad my video helped. I don't care about noise, either, unless it's at a dangerous level. There are a lot of people who have very sensitive ears and while some COULD learn to ignore it, others literally cannot because of biological and/or psychological reasons. For example, people with autism cannot filter out sensory input so they hear EVERYTHING all the time, which can be overwhelming, especially for those who haven't learned tactics to cope with it.

Arctic 10.64 dBA Phanteks 30.3 dB(A) Thermalright 28.1 dBA ID-Cooling 26.4 dB If you want to know which is the most performant, or has the best balance between performance and noise, let me know.

I don't own that Arctic fan, and it would depend on the quality of the bearings, but they claim a very low noise level and I don't believe it. I have that one without the ball bearings. I think it's actually somewhere in the vicinity of 25 dBA. Forget the Phanteks. It's not got enough pressure to be worthwhile. The ID-Cooling is better than the Phanteks. Either the Arctic or the Thermalright will be good buys if you want a balance of performance and noise.

I'm just waiting for them to release a high speed 140mm version... we really need more enthusiast class 140mm options. I got tired of waiting for Noctua and picked up the bequiet SW Pro4 which was honestly a disappointment but still a solid fan. The T30 is the first fan in years that I just bought 3 of the moment it came out. Personally, I appreciate the speed switch but usually just leave it at the max setting. The only time it might be an issue is if your CPU frequently hits the motherboard's 'critical' temp and forces it to run at 100%. It's basically a jet engine at that point but damn does it move air.

Are you from Indonesia? Thank you for the compliment. There is a fair amount of variability from one GC to another if you're not talking about the same product line. Some companies do a better job. The fact that the smaller one has a really fast fan certainly suggests that it might do better, but it depends on things like airflow and static pressure, too, as well as which GPU it is. If you can tell me which models you're considering, I might be able to tell you more.

If you look at the thumbnail, you can see the arms of the hub, and you'll notice that the blades curve to the right (clockwise). Does that help? In my matrix, anything marked clockwise (CW) turns to the right when viewing the arm side of the fan.

It seems these Phanteks T30s are about even with the Super Flower Megacool 120? Yes? I'm a little skeptical of Super Flower's CFM rating. They say 152 CFM. The T30 already blows most of the competition away with it's 101 CFM rating, which many testers have verified (I've seen between 98 and 105 CFM), however, the Megacool somehow achieves 50% more than that at the same speed and thickness which just seems too incredible. Having said that, I did see one test report 140 CFM - close enough to the claimed 152 - but another test around 115. In terms of 140 mm, I'm going mental trying to decide between the Super Flower Megacool, Iceberg Thermal Icegale Xtra, and Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-3000. I'm leaning towards the Super Flower. Is there any chance you'd be willing to purchase a 120 and a 140 mm rad to also judge the airflow (with your hand-feel tests) through a radiator? I think that would add even more value to your already great vids. If you do, please consider the Hardware Labs Nemesis GTR rads (GTR, not GTX or GTS). The GTR rads are still the highest performing consumer PC watercooling rads on the market. At 52 mm thick, they even handily outperform thicker rads (including 60-80 mm rads). They're designed for maximum fan RPM so at, say, 1000 and even 1500 RPM, the GTX model will likely perform better but at around 1800 RPM and upwards, the GTR takes the lead and keeps pulling away as it keeps scaling beautifully to even over 3000 RPM. Another note on the GTR and why it's performance is so good and so much better than even the GTX (at higher fan speeds): although the GTR and GTX are both 16 FPI "on paper", the GTR is more like 24-32 FPI. The reason being is the GTR has a totally different design within the same size (as the GTX) radiator core. The GTR uses double-stacked fins, louvered fins, shorter fins, more rows of fins, and more cooling tubes. It would be so amazing if you tested the 120 and 140 mm fans, not only in free air, but on GTR rads (just the single-fan version of each is all that's needed).

I just tried finding my Megacools, but I am not sure where they are, nor my IceGale Xtra. I found my 140 iPPC and my T30, and I have an AGPtek 120mm 12 Pipe Aluminum Heat Exchanger Radiator and a XR5 140 Hydro Series rad, too. Unfortunately, if you will watch today's upload, plus consider the upcoming election that may be disastrous, it would be unwise for me to make any purchases. Once I find the other two fans, I can certainly do a hand-test, but they are not 140s. The only way I would be able to do exactly what you're asking for is if people were willing to donate enough money to cover the entire cost and, thus far, no one has become a member on Patreon or donated on FB. Heck, there've only been 17 visits to Patreon since I announced it. Further complicating matters is the fact that I will not willingly order from Amazon, for reasons that should be obvious if you check out my recent channel news videos about what they've been doing to me. There are plenty of news sources about how they treat employees. I will be happy to make the video you're requesting...If the situation makes it possible for me to do.

Yes, the Megacools and T30s are VERY similar and you really can't go wrong with them, or the SilverStone FHS120X. Again, check HW Buster's regarding 140s as I'm less familiar with them. I've spent way too much money on my inventory and now I'm in a real bind with what's happening with my employer.

What do you think of these compared to the Phanteks T30? Also, have you tested them in 140? The SF Megacool 140 is basically a direct competitor to the Iceberg Thermal Icegale Xtra 140 and Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000. I cannot decide between those 3 in 140 and between the Megacool and T30 in 120. You said these crush the T30s. How so? Are you judging purely from "on paper" advertised specs from the manufacturers? By hand feel? Or...?

I encourage you to check out HW Buster's 2024 Fan Round-up, in which Aris (an actual engineer) compares several fans and gets actual numbers (yes, I have to go by the published specs until I can run tests of my own). In those videos, the Megacools, T30s and SilveStone FHS120X are constantly vying with each other for top place.

I see the problem. You don't have any ARGB headers on your mobo because it predates ARGB. You'll need to buy a hub with either a USB connector so you can use software to control the lights, an in-cable connector for the lights or a remote control, plus a cable going to the power supply using either SATA or Molex-D. Check your PSU cables to see if you have both available; if so, SATA is easier to work with.
