Fix Jerky Starts! EPI Clutch Kit Install - Polaris RZR 1000
This is a full install of the EPI Clutch Kit for my 2015 Polaris RZR 1000 XP4.
I put 30β tires on and was experiencing very jerky starts. After installing this kit my starts were much smoother!
I chose this kit because it was one of the lower priced kits and still got good reviews. It was very straight forward install!

A floor jack with wooden blocks really? I didnβt see any jack stands being used, always use them to support the unit.

Itβs a Ridgid 22β Pro. You can also buy fabricated brackets that mount it perfectly to the RZR.

How many miles are on the part's and belt?
Thatβs street legal ?
depends on what state you live in. here in aZ they are street legal during day, add turn signal kit and it becomes legal at night. hope this helps

Yes its held up great! I didnβt have any more issues with the jerky starts and I put 1000 miles on it. Iβd definitely still recommend it. Sorry I didnβt reply sooner!

Mounting high like that offsets your center of gravity. Too top heavy

Wow........I live in East Texas.....exclusively "woods" riding......I would love to go out west with my Turbo, wife in tow, and ride....I would bring a few sticks of wood, a tent, a couple of bottles of wine so at night I could talk her into the importance of certain levels of "undress".....LOL......great video, thank you..... :-)

Do you have any video of the jerky starts? Mine was always a bit jerky, and lately -- its been REALLY bad. changed the belt, and cleaned everything out, everything seems tight, but want to see if mine are worse than normal.

32x10 14 tire fits. ..I have the same tire carrier and have 32x10 14 mongrel on a 4/3 offset Raceline mamba rim as spare. Spare fits with 1/8" on one side and 1/4" on other side to roll bar. You can also reposition spare where roll bar will be between the tire edge lugs.
How Do you Like that kit so far now that youve driven on it a few months? i have a 2015 XP1000 2 seater just went to 30s and i think im gonna swap over to the 248 kit as well from stock
No issues so far! Iβm still running 30s and have taken it to the dunes and it handled great. Much smoother engagement especially on asphalt.

You think s 32 would fit?
It would be really close. I have right at 1β gap on both sides of the tire. I think a 32β tire like my Mongrels that have a curved tread would fit but not a more flat tread like a street tire.

The Rigid tool box is mounted with metal brackets that bolt to the box and then mount to the mounting points on the bed. Google search for βISOTA Rigid box mountβ and there are some pictures and links to purchase.
