Omgosh I’ve never heard of someone moving as much as we have lol I commend you for your strength. Even a well planned move is stressful. I’ve moved across town and to other states so many times. I embrace it but it is still stressful and I am so tired of giving up my stuff to make moving easy. I just end up having to rebuy decor and other things every time.
I hear you! You are absolutely right in saying that even a well planned move is stressful. That's why I decided to call my channel "Packing Peace" instead of "Stress-Free Moving" (a name that was suggested to me by several people). I have no idea what the next house is going to look like or how many rooms it will have. 😬 I'm trying to get out of here quickly but, I did buy different coloured Duck Tape. Walmart didn't have a ton of choices. I'm going to try anyway.
It's so hard not knowing! If you can't find what you need at Walmart, you can try craft stores like Hobby Lobby - they usually have tons of colors and patterns. Another awesome video - great information! I really love these. A few thoughts I had while watching: 1 - Downsizing can really hurt - particularly when you are getting rid of stuff you love. If you know you're not going to be able to make something work in your new place, you'll feel the pain of loss twice if you try to take it with you. 2 - If you need one, only get the size of storage unit you need. It will usually be cheaper, and it will help keep you from growing more stuff you already don't have room for. 3 - Love the vertical space idea - creating more horizontal space where there wasn't any really helps reduce the downsizing challenge. Good stuff! Making trips to the store for daily essentials is one of the last things you want to do during a move - especially when you know you already have the same stuff you're going to buy more of, but you can't get to it because it's buried on the truck!

Thanks, this is v helpful. We can vacuum pack cloths, soft toys and pillows and blankets to save space. I would put vacuum bag into the box and then fill it up with the things n close n vacuum the bag while its still inside the box, so that it fits into the box nicely.

Another great video - golden advice for a successful and less-stressful move! Sometimes the cost and energy of moving stuff multiple times can cost more than simply replacing it after you move AND when/if you ever need it again

Thank you! Packing everything that you're not using first makes a lot of sense. It seems to really help in getting the move started since most rooms in the house have stuff that can be packed right away without disrupting the day-to-day. Great stuff - keep it coming!

Partially filled boxes lead to crushed boxes, which then lead to broken stuff - these are excellent tips to keep stuff from getting broken - more please!

Great tips! I've labeled boxes with a sharpie but I certainly see the benefit of using color. I also really like your tip of doing a voice text in a Google sheet to keep track of what's in each box. That's so much easier than trying to type it on my laptop!
