Hi where can i buy this set of books?
As of today, March 20, this book is not available. However, you can leave your name and email, and they will advise you when it is available.
Cool, I'll use these instead of French Knots. It will bring me some change.
Thank you for this. Regarding colours I tend to look for colour pallets with go well together, many can be found on Pinterest.
That looks gorgeous! Your stitching and beading is beautiful. I have the book with this pattern and am thinking about ordering it and the Autumn Lace needlelace pattern. Your beading tip was very helpful. Did you do that will all the beads in the pattern, or just the area you were showing. Any tips or comments about the pattern and how you're finding it to work on would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Arleen, I did try the method described in the book but found this method produced better results for me. So yes I did use this method everywhere. If you're interested in reading more about my journey with this piece, I wrote about it on my blog d1-d2.blogspot.com/search/label/Midnight%20Meander I stitched it 2 years ago but if you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to reach out.
@@d1d271 Thank you so much!!! I will be ordering the kit soon and know I'll enjoy reading your blog. It's always so helpful when someone else has done a project and shares their knowledge, especially a more complicated one like this. I had a quick look at your pics, and you did an amazing job of stitching it. It looks spectacular. I'm also thinking of ordering the needlelace one that's in ecru shades.
@@marleenoceanbreeze6510 I'm happy to hear you found the posts helpful 😊 I also have the needlelace in ecru shades. I actually have 4 Hazel Blomkamp kits in my stash. I really should get around to stitching them 😆
@@d1d271 Don't we all have more things to stitch than hours in a day lol. I'll be ordering 2 of the patterns today, and also plan on ordering hoops. Hazel doesn't mention what size to use. Did you use a hoop, and if so, what size, please? I'm surprised she recommends plastic hoops as most people prefer wood. Thanks :)
@@marleenoceanbreeze6510 The plastic hoops Hazel recommends are the Susan Bates. They give a good tension but yes people usually prefer wood. I like neither. My go to choice are slate frames when I can, which is what I used with this project. I really don't like hoop marks :) If you had to go with a hoop, get a size that is comfortable and fits the entire design with some room to maneuver near the edges.
The soundtrack was exquisite! I did some waltzing in my living room! I have a tree of life necklace, a jingling heart and an ancient Roman coin for sale or exchange … if anyone is searching or in the market. Just mentioning for a friend ✌️☺️
WTF? Weird but strangely intriguing 🧐
What material are you using? Where did you get your embroidery equipment?
The piece is a kit by Hazel Blomkamp called midnight meander. The beads are Miyuki and I'm stitching with DMC cotton
Very nice work. Filicitations
Superbe exposition! Plusieurs de ces pièces sont de véritables joyaux. Il y en a de tous les genres. Que de travail, de minutie, du grand art. Merci
Thank you Dima! Now I have to buy this book !
I tried to email Jenny but the email address is not valid
Hi, you can find the book in Jenny's shop here jennyadin-christieembroidery.com/product/fundamental-whitework-techniques-book
Where can we get this book
This book is already out. You can find it online at BookDepository. There is a link in the description box :)
Super bien fait! Merci beaucoup.
A beautiful collection of work by some very talented needle artists!! Thank you for sharing this.
Hi! Thanks for review! Could you make more such type of video, with you opinion and, that is very important, with good pictures :-) Couse it's so difficult buy some books without photos and content
I would love to as I have a growing library of embroidery books. I work full time though so time is limited :) I will make an effort this year. Was there a specific book you wanted a review on?
@@d1d271 Yeah, I could imagine! :-) If it will be possible, I would like to know more about these books: www.bookdepository.com/Stumpwork-Butterflies-Moths-Jane-Nicholas/9781863514521?ref=grid-view&qid=1550587983254&sr=1-1 The Royal School of Needlework Book of Embroidery : A Guide to Essential Stitches, Techniques and Projects - www.bookdepository.com/Royal-School-Needlework-Book-Embroidery-Various/9781782216063 www.bookdepository.com/Exquisite-Threads-English-Embroidery-1600s-1900s/9780724104024 London Society Fashion 1905-1925 : The Wardrobe of Heather Firbank - www.bookdepository.com/London-Society-Fashion-1905-1925-Cassie-Davies-Strodder/9781851778317 The House of Worth : Portrait of a Fashion Archive - www.bookdepository.com/House-Worth-Amy-de-La-Haye/9781851777747 Arts and Crafts Embroidery - www.bookdepository.com/Arts-Crafts-Embroidery-Laura-Euler/9780764344091 World Dress Fashion in Detail be VA publishing (and other books from London museum) And it isn't end of the list :-)))
Thank you for this wonderful review, I really appreciate it.
Your welcome!
Hi. This kind of hobby is getting more interesting to me. I'm a novice here. I find it beautiful. I made two small icons embroidered with beans for my friends. Floral patterns are really fascinating in the books. I was thinking about geometric pictures though. And now I don't know... I'll have to find those two books. Thank you for your composed clear info. Good luck in your works. Maybe you'll show them sometime Sincerely, from Astana
I was thinking about geometrical patterns too :) This books is great to learn the foundation and the projects will help with that.
Thank you for your review. I'm going to buy that book.
Glad you found the review informative :)
