Someone finally admitted that the venerable 7600 doesn’t carry well! 😮 With all the hype, I had to look into them. Handled a friend’s 7600 carbine and wasn’t that thrilled. Ended up with a different discontinued deer rifle that balances beautifully on the track!

Got on late - was there a reference to using smokeless in a Woodman? I’m a handloader and heard someone say IMR 4198 - please clarify - never heard of such a thing. I own a Woodman delivered the tail end of last season not sure if it applies to models of that vintage

Great video. Mikes so passionate about the subject. Im starting to work on thickening up my property mainly for deer and bedding but was ready to take down some large yellow birch. After hearing him say to leave for the grouse etc, that plan has changed! Would love to see a video expanding a bit on this same topic where it focuses more on deer habitat improvements, browse and bedding. See a ton in midwest and places like Michigan but almost nothing for VT.

Everyone thinks us hunters are terrible people out to hurt animals. But its so not true as a hunter myself i love wildlife and would have stopped to do the same anytime i see an animal in distress . . Most hunters are great compassionate "ethical" people
