In this video I demonstrate how to stencil with chalk paint by layering two different colors with a bristle brush. We'll go over how to hold down your stencil with painters tape, and how to deal with imperfections that may arise.

I love Waverly and Folkart chalk paint. Not a lot of ppl on YT use these paints but they work for me. And they are reasonably priced. Not 40$ for 16oz like some.
Yes! Waverly has some really great colors/coverage and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg! Thank goodness for budget friendly products🙌🏼

It's scary when you're just one person, with no social media I can't have things like Facebook and Instagram due to my job, And so I wanted to learn how to flip furniture on the side and also as a way to have something to look forward to on days that I'm off. And as I'm looking for inspiration, I See all of these beautiful finishes and I'm like "Oh my gosh how do I do this" ? It's frustrating when most every video you see is sped up so fast you can't learn the technique, or it's. Short.. 🫨😵💫. So when I find somebody like you who literally just does it in real time and explains things , not to mention I dig your painting style, it just helps put somebody like me at ease. 💐thx a bunch
@@kimberly.007Awe...thank you! That is what I'm going for. I know how difficult and confusing it is to learn this material. It took me a year of informal study & messing up furniture to figure out this information, & there is still so much more to learn. Furniture refurbishing brings enormous relief to my life, and it is a great joy to create something useful for others as well. I appreciate you, @kimberly.007 !! I'm confident you can do all this as well. It just takes desire, willingness to learn, patience, experimentation, & determination...all traits I'm feeling you have, so you've already won half the battle ;)
