Hey Robb, I've been checking your channel out a lot recently and really value what you have to say. I'm 51 and have been in Thailand for 7 weeks (Khanom) and have not made any attempt to date. I was here 25 years ago and am well of the traps. But these days I'm literally just happy to be in this wonderful country. I Believe that any foreigner chap 50 + should watch your shows as mandatory . Reset with Robb is a realistic show that will save many a fella from disappointment and heartache. Many Y's and low bows from this guy !!

My first Thai girl also was named Fon. That particular relationship was definitely strained. When you refer to the women that work multiple guys at once, I automatically think of her. She didn’t scare me off though. I have met some really kind women since that rather rough experience. 🙂👍🏻

I have had a very difficult time finding a really solid Bourbon in Thailand. It seems like Beam is the “go to Bourbon” anywhere that I have been. I’ve had the same experience finding a good Scotch as well. I did find a nice Ardbeg Islay Scotch at the airport. Where do you find your Bourbon?

PROS of foreign husband: more money, less likely to cheat, get violent or gamble. CONS of foreign husband: culture and language differences, usually older, fatter, balder and dresses worse.

My ex-Thai girlfriend and I were together for a little over a year, and one day she told me, “If you don’t give me a daughter, we are finished.”…. 😮 A month or so later she called me and said “I think I made a mistake.” I told her “That’s possible but it was a choice that you made, and I hope that you find the man that you need.” She still messages every once in awhile.

My ex lived in the Surin Province. She and her family would speak three different languages in all of their conversations. It was a mix of Thai, Lao, and Khmer… but not full on Cambodian. It was like some sort of border language. It gets more than a little bit confusing when you’re attempting to learn Thai, and you’re consistently getting new languages thrown into the mix.

I’ve been conversing with a 47yrs old Thai woman for almost a year. No children, never married. She seems ok, doesn’t ask for money but will accept if offered. Her backstory is a little sketchy, there seems to be some missing information but she’s ok for now until I get over there to investigate further.

I must be the only men married to an older than thai woman.

Rob, yes, there are many kind, caring ladies in Thailand . At the same time, there are evil ladies who will, alongside their family . Suck farlang guy's of all their money, hopes and dreams. Choose wisely ❤

I spent 3 months there. I avoided the bars like the plaque , because I learned through these videos that they are nothing but scam artist. Its shame. But thats just the way it is. They are dirt poor and desperate and you are a rich American ATM machine to them. And they are very clever at what they do . Most seem to have no conscience, I quess because its survival for them. And the real pretty ones are the ones getting rich. You can find you a plain Jane girl at a regular job , but sooner or later she going to expect you to support her too. I had one that latched on to me . I told her I was nt rich , just looking for a cheap country to be able to love in. But she obviously didnt believe me. Because the nagging for money was every other day. And she had a good job , home and nice car too. She was a safety engineer working 7 days a week.

Messaging you and saying " I MISS YOU " is another big one.

Even the slow serious ones are soon going to start hitting you up for money. Its absolutely going to happen. And when you give it to them , it never ends , its a bottomless pit that never ends.

It is sick place, Money, Money , Money. What Tradition, what Moral, in Thailand people are objects.

alot of the problem is cultural and language barriers unless you speak & understand their dialect fluently you"ll never know whats going on for sure

Yeah Saving and making face very important in the village.It runs their lives.Like feeding the monks.They do that to save face.One lady I knew would never take anything back if she bought the wrong size because she would lose face.A farang can take things back.

Women over 27 is considered old for marriage in Isan region. Anyone with Thai language above basic level can ask locals about this. Majority of them will gave the same answer - something is wrong with her. Beautiful, 35 years old women especially with kid(s) for majority (95-98%) of Thai man might be interesting for only one and single reason and it's not a marriage or serious relationships.
