Teaching Video Burl to Bowl

This was my final submission for the first semester of Graphic Design and Visual Communication at Minnesota North Community College at Eveleth. The challenge was to make a video that taught something. Because I was so busy with school and life, I was afraid this burl on a maple tree that fell down would rot before I would ever get to it. Wood turning is one of my hobbies, but I've always been intimidated by the idea of turning a burl. I figured if I had to finish the assignment, I'd have to finish the bowl, so just started.
I enjoy writing music for soundtracks, but this doesn't seem to lend itself to that, so I probably never will. I'll just make more videos for that. Enjoy!

This is the most recent update to the video. It fulfills a videography requirement: "Sell Something" as part of the Graphic Design program at Minnesota North College (Eveleth campus). Since I already had this violin for sale, I decided to make my video about it. I can't play violin, so I created the violin track in Logic with midi. The video was made in Final Cut Pro, and shot with a Nikon D850.

This video was created in Final Cut as an assignment for the Graphic Design program I'm attending at Minnesota North, Evelyth campus. I used the school loaner camera exclusively, and wrote the music using Logic Pro. The point was to do an outdoor video, using various techniques from class.
