I've been finally playing with the super plat in this comment section and it was fun. I lost with Urien and Sagat but didn't get washed, could win a match and a round here and there. The only match I could fully win was my Birdie vs his Juri (2-0). When I've been playing long with Sagat I need some variation and Urien and Birdie are characters that not everybody plays. They also have a few tricky moves under their sleeve, you know what I'm talking about. You also played Birdie and even introduced him to me years ago in our matches. He was such a discovery for me! I absolutely love Sagat but he feels limited compared to many other characters with better normals, recovery and faster buttons, especially in gold/super gold. Sometimes I even ask myself, would it be better to play Birdie in ranked because he can do so much (unexpected) damage, especially with v-trigger 1. A great comeback is always optional with Birdie's cool tool set. 😅

Good observation. As you can see I play Urien the same way I play Sagat, more zoning, keep away, a little bait and 50/50 here and there. I really love Urien but look how scrubby I am while using Aegis Reflector. I'm wasting a lot of potential traps and extra damage there but I'm just too lazy to study the Aegis set-ups. I highly enjoy watching good Urien players who DO use it though! lol

I know you are a better player and I still take many risks/unsafe buttons etc. but like you said before, my randomness and playing with all my heart and from the gut can still surprise others. I KNEW I would lose with Sagat because after Urien and Birdie I became tired and was losing focus. Sagat needs to be played ultra sharp, he can do big damage but he can't afford to make mistakes. He has slow buttons, bad recovery and not so many escape options when in the corner or in close pressure situations. Anyway, thx for the session...it was really fun, I gave it my all! 😅👍Feel free to give some advice...

@@RushianRichard I love both the game and the 1999 movie. Fun fact - Disney/Pixar was the first universe I was introduced to before Marvel. Some of the first movies I watched were Toy Story and The Incredibles. Pixar is brilliant, better than DreamWorks.

Boss 3, 5 and 8 are my favs because they can suddenly speed up toward you and cause panic reactions, lol 😅 Fun fact: you can take the ED-209 from the lvl 5 boss when it drops on the ground. It's the most powerful weapon and the first time it appears in the game. I also love the flame thrower because it can absorb enemy bullets. 😜

Great to hear your thoughts and don't get me wrong, I still have ALL the oiginal Sonic cartridge games for the Megadrive and overall, nothing beats the Sonic OST. It's just that I focused on the sinister, more dark OST for my list because Sega Genesis/Megadrive always stood out for more blood and violence compared to SNES. I also like sf/horror movies and psychedelic/doom/heavy metal so the choice was easy this time. 🤘😎

I agree GEMS sucks, A few tracks are decent like the one from Jurrassic park and a few ethernal Champions tracks but the majority of games that used it did not sound great, Japan however made some of the best music of the 16-bit era. X-men had the lighthouse stage which was kinda good.

We don't have to agree at all but maybe there's something new or interesting to be found. In my case, someone suggested Pulseman, Brain Voice and King Colossus, Boss Music in his comment and I'd never heard their OST. To my suprprise the music surpassed my expectations and I'm glad I know it now. 😎👍

Lol, that's true! Sagat is quite 2-dimensial by design and mirror matches are cursed by definition. Most of the time players won't risk jump-ins because his dp aa can be very strong in trained hands. What's left is a fireball war with focus on zoning and spacing in order to be effective. 3 High and 3 low tigershots, all with their own speed, and extra EX options can be dead tiring to anticipate on. 💀👈🐯Sometimes such an attention span simply becomes too much and the player begins to take risks or starts jumping anyway lol. Sometimes you also see the use of v-revearsel in mirrors in order to break Sagat's machinegun fire and give the match some air and hopefully maybe some fresh, new ideas. ☝️😜😅👍
