Last week I played the darklings for the first time and the 1 red 3 coins income helped me a lot. in the long term.

i was wondering, at 56:20 you were able to spend a priest to go up 2 in the fire cult, but all places were already taken, can you still spend priests even when all places are taken?

I never played Terra Mystica in real life. The app is the most confusing Digidiced game I ever played. I never gotten close to winning the easiest AI. The in-game tutorial is quite lacking. Your video helped explain a lot!

You should have taken the 1 fire and 3 coins every round at the beginning because it seemed like a game without a lot of neighbours.

Almost fell of my chair, when I heard the record scoring. Only 168! It is insane how much better the players became over the last years.

At 33:00, why couldnt u automatically create a town? Does the mermaid ability counts as an special action?

Your TM videos have been great. You have a really soothing tone of voice and manage to make a complicated game that I’m learning sound a bit more approachable. Granted you do fly through the strategy talk, but still, just by watching a few of your videos I’m starting to keep up. Anyway, shame to see this channel no longer active.

Very low audio coupled with frequent interruptions by super loud ads is a pain.

i really like this narrative format; fast paced and you only pause when a certain action requires more detailed explanation. also, it easier for me to follow how you implement/modify your strategy as the game goes on. great video.

Does BON 4 give a permanent shipping upgrade, or only +1 shipping for that turn?

I was just watching the giant video and the AIs picked the exact same factions

so taking your turn back after you finished your move. is that cheating? even against the ai? ;)

i like hearing your thought process. going to be picking this game up in the holidays, so I feel like I'm getting a good jump on game mechanics and strategy from watching your videos.

the temple opening is just best for alch. sh is too much of a gamble, and jut often does less good anyway

Auren are better building a temple before a stronghold, they need priests for 3 spots, and the stronghold costs 2 extra precious round 1 workers. They should never build a stronghold round 1, even if the track says so

Hey goldbug! Miss your vids. Scanned the comment section and noticed that someone else said this with your comment being that you weren't feeling like making vids lately. You know if that's the case you could just record the game naturally and upload it as is with no extra cuts. We here on YT have the luxury to fast forward any long moments so hopefully that would make your effort minimal. Or if you have the tech for streaming you could Twitch delay stream it so that we could join you next time and post react to your moves. Either of those should be quite low tier added effort if you were interested in trying to grow the channel some. Either way cheers for the previous content even if you aren't feeling like making more. Was enjoyable and enjoyed your attitude/personality.

Oof yeah, never take water 1 that early especially as engineers when earth 2 offers double cult rewards. Early economy for engineers is just so good

Being rather new to this game, I came here to learn some tips and tricks. it is a nice playthrough. Very informative. Only, if I may suggest it, maybe you should start calling them shovels. "For each 4 steps on the earth cult, you're going to get one diG." sounds strange. :D

Could you give your expert opinion on how common a tie is? Also why there is no tie-breaking mechanism? After playing this game with my family, we've had TWO ties in a row! Unbelievable after such a long game haha.

You could have gotten a 3rd town by turn 6. By the end of turn 5 make sure that you have one dig, 2 shipping range, and at least 7 workers and 11 gold for 3 trading posts and a dwelling available for turn 6. On turn 6 use the digging bonuses from cults on the red hex above the witch sanctuary, and you just need one more dig for the black hex below it. You can then build 3 trading posts for 2/3 each by the witches and a dwelling on the other brown hex. Anyways, I love your videos and hope you start making them again!

Why not a Dwelling on last turn to C8 ? (so no extra shipping needed)

Hi Goldbug, started watching these videos lately to catch up with my friends on this game. In round 5 when you were going to take the worker power action, I had a thought about another route you could've taken. Would it not have been better to take the bridge from your trading post to the red hex that you had just dug, then build a dwelling to form a town? Then you could take the worker town tile.
