The only thing I can do is resisting with what I do best: writing and singing. May the words have meaning.

It was not my plan to do better than Heilung, for it's clearly in my metal style, but I'm so glad you like it ❤️ I'm currently not planning any specific old Norse song at the moment, for I am recording a whole album. But who knows what I could do next? Anyway, thanks a lot for your support ❤️💪🙏

To be honest, I was confused many times in this song, as the lyrics and the original songs sometimes were not matching exactly (some missing syllables, some pronouciations heard in places I expected to hear something else, etc). So, when doubting, I took the liberty to try to sound as close as possible to the original song, but now I can even hear some mistakes I made, despite all the research I did before recording the song... But if I have your seal of approval, that's going to make my day!!! Many thanks ♥

Thanks a lot! Old Norse is not that difficult to pronounce if you have some knowledge in germanic languages (including English and German). I've been way more struggling with Danish to be honest.... But it was quite a fun challenge!

Yeah. It’s just that I’m a 4 string player and I heard getting a 5 string makes things complicated.
Well, yes and no. It all depends of what you want to do with a 5th string. For my part, I like to be able to play low frequencies (as a metal player), but I also like to have access to high notes (for melodies/solo/etc). And for that, I need a 24 frets bass, thus requiring a long neck, but I also like to have a not-so -large neck. And this bass fits perfectly my requirements! Plus, with D'Addario strings, I am also able to manage to have a loud yet bright tone, for both playing loud and metal AF plus being able to include slap parts. So, if you want to try this 5 strings bass, go for it, it's totally worth it, and the neck width make it very comfortable to play! Otherwise, if you feel you totally don't need a 5th string, then stay on the 4 strings bass (too bad the F-154 is no loonger produced indeed).
