Simply fantastic Paul. My first Howgill I believe. Love the drone footage.
Thanks Alan, appreciate the support
Nice video chief.. I like the look of these fells, so baron, open a free to roam.. divent know when am gonna do em but looking forward to.. tek care lad :)
Thanks Dave, we’re enjoying the Howgills as they’re quite unique compared to the Lake District tops.
Another great video Paul
Thanks, it’s a great little walk
I'm off for 2 weeks starting December 21st. If you are in the Howgills let me know and I could join you guys 🤔😊
I’ll let Mary know regarding dates in December for a possible meet-up from the 21st
Put it on my to do list 😊👍
It’s a nice walk and well worth a tripe over to the Howgills
Another good walk covered by an excellent video. Nice one guys. The drone footage year does show off the epic fell countryside in all it's glory, super stuff
Thanks Graham
Hi Paul. Great video again mate, some wonderful walking. And brilliant drone footage. Have a great weekend 😀⛰🥾
Thanks, you too!
Epic pal. Great video
Thanks Dave, looking forward to seeing your Arnison Crag vid
Fantastic video Paul. A lovely set of hills. Good paths and easy walking throughout ( except if you go up Black Force 😂). Loved the Howgills and rarely seen other walkers.
Thanks Alan, we're enjoying the Howgill walks and we've quite lucky with the weather. Hopefully we'll post a video of all these tops.
Amazing shot what drone are you using? I am looking into getting my first
DJI mini 4, although the older versions 2 and 3) can create similar shots
Great vid Paul. It was a privilege to bump into yourself, Mary and Derrick today. True Lake District UA-cam royalty 😉
Thanks Richard, was good to speak with you this afternoon in Keswick have a safe journey home.
Your video was truly beautiful and inspiring. As a fellow creator, I appreciate the effort you put into it. Sub and 👍13
Thank you, also subbed your channel
Nice Work & Video 👍
Thank you and appreciate the kinds words, also subbed your channel
Class, really enjoyed that one 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great one to tick off paul i came off Sheffield pike on this one and i thought heron pike was fantastic shame it wasnt a wainwright as i thought this was the best one on the route and that tree yeah i walked past it and its massive like 😂bloody hard route off this way i dont no if you found that but we did coming down great show around mate .....BUTCHY
Hi Mate, we’ve been up to Sheffield pike and then onto Glenridding Dodd a few times and taken in Heron Pike, which is a Birkett and has probably the better views of the three, like you suggest. The route can be a little, well, dodgy in wet conditions
Great show around these 8 wainwright's paul looks a fantastic hike around one ive got to do so nice one for showing it marra cheers ....BUTCHY
Thanks mate, if you do the complete round it’s probably better to do these when there’s more daylight and be careful coming down off Low Pike as there’s one tricky bit, nothing dodgy but you’ll need come down a small rock channel.
@capturinglakeland yeah next year for me paul before I'm back there but for sure will do marra cheers ...BUTCHY
Morning Paul. Lovely video, and a great route. When those how gills get the sunlight on them, they look spectacular. I'm in the Lakes on Wednesday hoping for something similar. All the best mate Dave
Thanks Andy, hope the weather holds for you on Wednesday. We’ve been quite lucky with the weather with our walks on the Howgills.
❤❤❤
Delightful ❤❤❤
That’s a fantastic walk. Did it this year in one go. My feet were like lead at the end! 😂. The trek back along Borrowdale was never ending haha! Kept putting it off after Grahams “ Death by Fellwalking “video 😂! but glad I did it. Treated myself to fish and chips in Shap afterwards❤
Thanks, Graham somehow managed to do the whole ridge in one walk, we however had the foresight (Well Derek did 😀) of splitting the ridge into two walks, even then it was a struggle
Beautiful ❤
Чарівна паличка ❤
Beautiful❤❤❤
Beautiful ❤ subscribed and liked ❤
Thanks for subbing!
@capturinglakeland your welcome
hide this place or they'll fill it with gimmiegrants.
Wow that reminded me of a great day, that really wore Bert and myself out to the point of exhaustion , he still keeps saying to me 'There better not be anymore up's' immortal words he said as we dropped from the last fell on that ridge. Dave of course just took it in his stride as you guys clearly did. Of course I still lie to Bert still, there are always more up's 😂. Really great video that makes me want to get back out in the Howgills, which I enjoyed immensely. Look forward to the future series.
Thanks Graham, we enjoyed the walk but split the ridge into two walks unlike you guys who somehow managed to complete the whole ridge in one mega walk. We were glad we did as not only was it dark when we finished the first part of the ridge walk but on the second part of the ridge walk we enjoyed an incredible inversion. Hopefully I’ll be posting regularly (every Sunday) on UA-cam and include all the Howgill walks
@capturinglakeland look forward to it
Love england lots of ❤ from norway
Norway is beautiful ❤
Getting better!
Our once green, once pleasant land.
Hi guys, what a cracking walk, some amazing views, and so quiet too, or so it seemed. Hope you are ok Paul after your tumble. I was in the Forest of Bowland again yesterday, you haven’t seen bog until you have been there. 🤣 All the best everyone. 😀⛰🥾
Hi Dave, just a few scratches and thankfully I had put the camera away 😀. Forest of Bowland is place I haven’t been to so will need to add this to my list
I was so frustrated for you. If you'd have carried on climbing over that gate on the road you'd have found a sign free way to the top, albeit a steep ascent initially. We did it yesterday and didn't see any farmers or other obstacles. Have s look at Hiking Vikings route.
Thanks, we debated about following Viking hiking route but noticed the gate was lock and decided against. We’ll have to go back 😀
It's definitely worth it, great summit with great views. We didn't linger though, just in case 😂
Well done team on completion of the Outlying Fells, Nice day for it.
Thanks Graham, great memories and clear skies on our final three
clear skies, bstads.. well done aye, tek care :)
Thanks Dave, yes we were lucky with the weather 🌦️
Great video Paul. Congratulations again on the Outliers to all three of you
Thanks Alan
Fab video. Better views than my last one😂
Thanks Dave, we were lucky with the weather
Hi Guys, ooh you little tinkers, sneaking up the week before when the weather was better! 🤣🤣 Fair play, looking at those fantastic views makes me more determined to get back up there. I knew there is much more to see than the inside of clouds. 🤣 All the best everyone. 😀🥾⛰
Thanks, didn’t we mention we had great views when we meet up for the two Dave’s final three 😀.
@ 🤣 Haha you probably did, my memory is rubbish!
Love your video's such a relaxed presentation style. Hope they continue for many years to come. With the same charming companions too obviously !
Thanks, appreciate the endorsement 😀
Stunning views on a lush walk. New sub from us.
Thanks for the sub, for a small fell Great Burney had great views
You live in a beautiful place. I do too. I have the ocean, mountains and volcanoes but there is definitely something special about this area..very peaceful and majestic…thank you for sharing it with us.
I can’t tell when you gave us a 360 view, can you see the Ocean from there?
On a clear day from the summit of Great Burney you can see Dudden Sands and the Irish Sea
Great video Paul. Two nice little walks. I couldn’t see a legal way up to the monument either. But luckily had packed my pole vault… 😂 Shame about the rain on the second walk. 2024 has really been your year-Wainwrights/Outliers/Howgills. Great achievements.
Thanks Alan, it’s onto the Howgills for us next and then perhaps a few Birketts
Hi Mary, Paul, and Derick. Wow what stunning views from Great Burney. That sky looked very ominous early doors, the signs were there! 🤣
Hi Dave, yes great views from the summit of Great Burney, just a shame I didn’t bring a camera to capture those incredible skies.
Hi Paul, Hi Mary, Hi Derick, absolutely brilliant, stunning views. Another massive view from a small hill. I'm not surprised you got lost, you didn't have Mr Ostle's black line to follow! 🤣 But just like Mr Ostle you failed to spot the sign saying don't climb on it.🤣🤣 All the best guys.
Thanks mate, was good to meet-up with guys on the Black Combe walk.
Great video and a lovely walk Paul. When I was at the Observation tower the floor seemed a bit dodgy! I was worried I might go through it😂! Mind you it must have been there quite a few years😮! A lovely Outlying walk
Thanks Alan, we enjoyed the walk but we couldn’t find any definitive paths between the Bigland Barrow cairn and the Tower, which is quite unstable
Nice video, I remember it well. Mary's face at the start was a picture. What was going on in the road, had you been stopped for speeding 😂😂. No route info, so I assume you followed Wainwrights guide, great route if I recall 😭. Certainly a great Coniston adventure you had, look forward to the rest.
It was a long day as on the way back to the campsite we were behind a car that had had to swerve to avoid a collision with a motorhome and had subsequently turned over in the road. No one was seriously injured but we were stuck there until the emergency services had attended and made the road safe to continue.
Oh wow, just what you wanted after a walk. Nice video though
Hi paul nice show around marra of these beautiful fells it's great for me as they are all new territory nice to see mary and Derek back out with you it was great to have met yous all marra on the final for the daves keep up the good work buddy and as always enjoy cheers ..BUTCHY
Hi Butchy, was great to meet up with you guys on White Combe, just a shame we didn’t any views. Started watching (and subscribed) your channel, very good content and very funny at times.
@capturinglakeland yeah would have been nice with a view and more so for the lads finishing never mind tho it's always there to get again eh cheers marra
Now that's a vid. 👌💙
Nice video, wonderful weather made for some great footage. Big walk that one, well done team
Thanks Graham, not Mary’s favourite but we did have good weather, although the trek from The Knott over to the Pepper Pot was very boggy
Great video. That’s a nice walk. I was lucky with the bog when I did it. Never went to the pepper pot but I did see it
Thanks 👍 it’s a real slog from The Knott over to the pepper pot but worth a visit
Nice video Paul, Humpy Ed was certainly a lot drier for you than us, lol. Loved that hospice, and that walk. Cheers, great watch. In fact I've watched it three times now as showed a few peeps
Thanks Graham, it’s a great walk and we had good weather
Great video Paul and 2 lovely little Outlying Walks. We really owe AW a great debt for showing us these fantastic walks
Glad you enjoyed the vid, and agree we do owe a debt to AW
