I would like to give a shoutout to one of my favorite Glup Shitto characters, C-21 Highsinger, a silent droid bounty hunter that prominently appears in a single Clone Wars episode and the Dark Disciple novel and nowhere else. He was supposed to prominent in the 1313 video game before that project sunk. He’s a cool spinning droid with guns named after Hi-C juice and I just think that’s awesome. He recently appeared in the Doctor Aphra comic for no reason other than to confirm he’s still alive and I love that

One really cool character you missed in the cantina is the mantis guy, who also appears later playing a game of cards in the mandalorian. He's literally just a 6 foot tall praying mantis.

Also, I like it when people are able to make off the wall stuff like The Great Heap, Waru, and Jeorge R. Binks. It reminds me of D&D where really creative people are able to let their minds run wild and do whatever they want. Who cares if it contradicts our perception of the galaxy, our own world has many unknown creatures beneath the depths of the ocean. It makes the galaxy feel even bigger.

I think the Proboscis Luke story might be a reference to a the "Laser Duel" concept art for Episode VI where Luke wears a gas mask, and a tube could be mistaken for a the infamous "proboscis."

It always angers me what Disney did to established EU stuff out of sheer spite and greed. A lot of these characters were far more interesting in the Compendium I used to read as a kid in the 90s, than anything Big-eared Mouse corporation came up with.

I love this video, but I would like to correct some stuff for Sister’s section. There was a controversy related to her within the Clone Wars community specially. It was not related to transphobia though. It was because of her hair. The specific hairstyle depicted in her art was taken to be cultural appropriation due to it being a hair style more based in black culture than Temuera Morrison’s Māori culture. I don’t know how large this controversy spread, but it was a hot button topic in 2021 in the Clone Wars community on Tumblr. Still good to hear that overall there weren’t any issues with her though.
