suzanne mudge THIS IS HORRIBLE TROMBONE PLAYING!
How many beats per minute?
I remember playing this piece on French Horn back in 1971-72 in junior high. Barbara Buehlman was our director. Tough lady, and we loved her so much.
She was the best! Miss her so much!
Ummm....
J'adore ce compositeur.
this is upsetting the oboe sounds amazing but I feel like the song in dragging way under the tempo and the band behind isn't that good at all....
this is a great job...well played guys!
u get an f and u get an f and u get a f and the band gets an A+++++++ FAIRYS
Great sound! I know this piece, y'all nailed it!! A+
Needs More balance.
There's a bit of a tuning issue at the Star Trek: The Next Generation segment.
I love this song I'm playing this at my school lol
they slowed down quite a bit
What did you record this with? A Potato?
:) *****
Anyone who was ever in a Jr High or High School Band knows piece. I hear this and I am reminded of a much simpler time. Excellently done in this version.
I didnt hear the Tenor Saxophone..
Yeah, let's focus on that. lol jk
1st cornet part is extremely hard at first, but once you get the rhythms it becomes much easier.
sounded like a cough to me..
I'd have to say this is one of my favorite symphonic band / wind orchestra pieces of ALL TIME....
Great song and very well played!
I play euphonium and my band director had me play the bassoon part, it was a bit difficult. but otherwise, it's a great song!
My Highschool band will be playing this song :D
good morning Think you can get me the sheet music of H. We Americans Fillmore for flute and piccolo, or somewhere that you recommend me to get that score, as this role is needed in Panama and we have no way to get them, thanks for your help. PS: Sorry for my English, I'm using google translator.
This group is all over the place. You can really hear them struggle with the tempos and fight each other. This, however, is an extremely hard piece.
Uh, ok. I understand Fillmore wrote pieces that mocked traditional music for the day, but "American's We" was his best work and his answer to Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever". I realized the director took license with this, but I agree with "rallantando city", it was over the top. Seemingly, you guys play quite well; good articulation, tonal balance, and minimal intonation (woodwinds), but the style I cannot agree with. Play it as the straight-ahead march and it would be the best on youtube.
It was 1977, Fair Park High, My sophomore year. Band Direvtor: C. White. Out of all the concert music I'd learned in high school, that song was the most challenge for me. BUT I really liked it. I even remembered the name "CANZONA" I've been out school 33 years. I still hear that 1977 high school band playing that song in my mind. This is an Afro-American school. We also enjoyed concert and R&B music.
We are playing this for our Spring concert. But only movement 1 and 5. Gotta admit, was kinda hard to learn and get it down pat. Glad our director picked this song.
can't tell if its brushes on the snare or some weird background noise?
