    Isn't it a separate field of animation design? I guess it is called a UX motion design or something like this... Should any UX/UI designer be a motion specialist as well?

    The job market for UX/UI entry-level design is not looking good right now, close to 7 months I am still looking for a job. Gonna work part-time while looking for a UX/UI job.

    It kinda a hard decision, i'm in a situation is where i have bill to pay, and asian family, they expect you to have return on investment. As well as i'm from a small country so the job market is even more tight. So i think for now, i have to leave UX.

    Hi Inès, Thank you for sharing these tips. I am curious about why would you write an article about your managerial experience instead of having it in your portfolio. I am job searching for junior positions, but I have team lead experience of 6 months (presently going on). So, I understand why you chose to separate it from your design experience, but why an article? What other options could I do to showcase my team lead experience?

    • @inesmir
      @inesmir 3 дні тому

      Because as a manager, I have nothing to show in terms of deliverables. :) I am not working hands-on, and I am not a part of the development cycle, so the article format typically captures the managerial experience better.

    I totally agree with you that portfolios are not perfect. I don't think they should be perfect in real-world scenarios, where there are so many challenges a designer has to face.

  • @_fatalruin

    If people have good answers for the "give me examples from your previous jobs" garbage questions, they are lying to you. No one can recollect moments like this unless they were particularly traumatic or emotionally encoded for some reason. People are constantly under the gun to produce good work, then repeat it for the next sprint. Let their portfolio stand on its own, and see how you like their personality / see if they fit in your culture. Everything else that you ask which you think is clever won't be part of a future hiring paradigm because it was found irrelevant or stupid.

    Yeah thats why you got the job because you've already worked for big companies. The problem with many UX designers right now is they don't have the privilege or opportunity to work in a big company. Your video doesn't help that much

    Thank you Inès for sharing this insightful video! The information you provided about the UX design interview process is incredibly valuable and has given me a better understanding of what employers are looking for. If possible, could you make a video showcasing a mock interview for a UX design position? It would be really helpful how to approach answering them, and to watch a simulated interview in action. Thank you again for the great content!

    Really goood advices 😄🙏🏼 especially with the local communities and apps/sites you are using and with the innovations. Will you consider showing how to build different kind of case studies for the porfolio, maybe an examples? C: I like that my university are getting local clients for each individuel group to work with, and see where we get in the end of the semester. 🙈 Its sooo hard but really Nice with real world practice and problems to research and design for.

      @@inesmir IT University of Copenhagen, we have an innovation course, that does this and it really challenging. So they have a few course requirements that you have to fulfill with theory and case partner collaboration, but I think it give a lot on the real world design practice than just coming up fictive clients yourself. Even the small companies are helping us with research possibilities, so we can do real life research on the case subject. Would love it! Your have amazing content on both IG and UA-cam C:
