Travelling Two, Shane and Suzzanne, a couple that travelled overland through Australia during the gaps between Shane's cancer treatments and life’s other hurdles - you can see more on our blog at travellingtwo.au/. Each trip laid down memories for us and our family. These memories that are even more precious after we said a our last heart-breaking goodbye to Shane, who passed away in August 2023. Running the Cut Line | TVAN Touring outback NSW
The Cut Line is a great little outback road running across north western NSW from Bourke and Wanaaring to Tibooburra. Once centre of an active wool industry, terminus of the Darling River boat traffic and subject of many Henry Lawson poems this area has a rich pastoral history that adds interest to the drive.
We crossed the track after a damp autumn so the track had seen recent grader work and was in great shape. In the dry it can be a rough and bull dust holed track that would need much greater care.
