Ohio is where I bought my Weeping Golden Beech from last year. The leaves got gnarly and dropped. I blamed myself for planting in too much sun. I dug it up and moved it into shade. The leaves nicely grew back, but quickly wilted and fell off. I attributed that to transplant shock in addition to the stress from being sun-scorched. I didnt give up on it, but its winter & Idk if its alive now or not. The bark is a bit copper-toned. Now im scared i participated in the spread of this awful disease!! I hope not. I LOVE Beech trees! 😭🤧💔 AS IF Needlecast disease wasnt bad enough, wiping out our spruce trees 💔 now THIS.
