Why are people holding Luigi Mangione up as a hero?
In this episode, we discuss the recent murder of a UnitedHealthcare CEO. We examine the circumstances surrounding the crime, including the suspect-identified as Luigi Mangione-being on the run and later found in a Pennsylvania McDonald’s.
We also explore the disturbing reactions from certain online communities, where some individuals have framed the killer as a “hero” striking back against the for-profit healthcare system. The conversation delves into the broader frustration many feel toward corporate healthcare practices, such as denied claims and profit-driven policies, and the moral and societal implications of these issues. However, we make it clear that violence and murder are never acceptable forms of protest, and we question the mental health and rationale behind both the suspect and those applauding his actions.
Additionally, we reflect on whether this incident might represent a tipping point in public sentiment toward corporate entities, debate the effectiveness of resorting to violence, and underscore the importance of genuine policy reform and constructive dialogue over destructive acts.

Kind of missed the point, bald guy. Basic sex ed does not involve sexual fetishes or descriptions of how to perform sexual acts. On a separate point, do you really want to put the gov't in charge of teaching kids about this? If you say yes, remember that once given away, the only way to retrieve power from the gov't is usually bloody and massively destructive.

Trump will allow American natural gas drilling, which has been largely reduced since Biden took office. Cheaper gas means prices on store shelves will not rise as quickly. In this economy, everything must be shipped, so the price of gas affects everything. Inflation is a big issue right now and having cheap energy will help a lot of people. Russia’s budget relies on selling oil. If the price of oil is low, which happens when supply increases, then Russia will not be able to afford this war. Pumping oil in the US is a non-violent means to ending Russian aggression. The same thing applies to Iran and Venezuela, who are both oil-rich. So yes, I think Trump will go a long way in stopping wars and helping the economy.

The United States should end military aid to Israel. 1. Military Aid to Israel is unnecessary. Israel is a very prosperous country and more than capable of paying for its own military. 2.Military aid to Israel is a security risk to the United States. Israel has been selling American developed military technology to China for more than a decade. These sales have been instrumental in the modernization of China's military. 3.Military aid to Israel is a diplomatic liability, 4, Military aid to Israel is illegal under American law. Israel's human rights violations disqualify Israel from receiving military aid under the Leahy law and Israel's refusal to allow inspections of its nuclear sites or sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty makes any aid to Israel illegal under the Symington Amendment.

No. Because states cannot grant any kind of citizenship or resident status protectable throughout the United States. If states want to "enforce" immigration law via arresting and deporting people, then said states should be required to perform ALL functions of immigration law and residency requirement. This means having to accept applications for migrant, refugee, asylum status. This means having their own dedicated infrastructure to process said claims and having dedicated judicial and administrative systems SUBJECT TO FEDERAL IMMIGRATION LAW when making decisions. And no state that siding with Paxton or DeSantis is ever going to go through all of that when it is just easier to kneecap any solution offered by Washington, D.C. and play "Tough Guy Jerkface" to people looking for work.

That's because slavery was the main reason behind the Civil War and the Southern states wanting to leave the union. They wanted to keep enslaving people.
