One suggestion, if Mr. Avery is cool with it, try doing the exercise with headphones or earplugs and recording yourself to hear it back. My thought is if you can't hear yourself, you'll just sing from the feel rather than critiquing yourself as you sing. Just a thought. You GOTTA trust your gift and skill, CAUSE BABYYYYYY, YOU GOT IT (ratchet voice)
