I shoot FLOG, turn in-camera sharpness down, make sure WB is manual and correct. To colorgrade this one, I used Earth LUTs from Aditya Varme, made for Fuji LOG. Another thing that might help make this look more natural, is the low F stop, I shoot at either 1.2, 1.8 or 2.8.

@@millmountainNice you pretty much have the full focal range there and all fast lenses too for low light/depth of field.

@@millmountain 100% in the line of work you do, you can get those close up shots without literally being right next to the subjects. I only have the 18-55 atm but I do want to upgrade eventually to something with more range. To me that’s what makes the most cinematic moments. The wide angle context shots are nice but the zoomed in portrait shots are what make for a nice vid/photo.

Thanks! Yes, AF when there is movement. If couple are standing still, I usually set focus and then switch AF off.

I depends on what you are doing/shooting - but for this type, Sony is now my main camera. It required me to put some time into understanding the camera, colors etc. Also understanding how to use the cameras ISO is important (SLOGIII ISO 640-3200 and 12.800-40.000 for cleanest image). WB is also really important to get good colors. When this is done, I don't find the colors/grading process harder to do. The win is a really lightweight camera, full frame, that lets you should in any light situation, with the very best AF you can imagine, almost no rolling shutter and IBIS that has just the right strength to create natural looks (no wobble). Check at 2:35, that is handheld, just walking next to the couple. Customization of the camera is also really great. I still love Fuji, and for more controlled shoots, where I can reshoot etc, I still use them.

I do when couples wish to have their speeches recorded 😊 We don’t have vows like some countries, like the US.

Nompack Thanks 🙏🏼😊 It was shot in 4K60 H265 in FLOG. Sharpness and NR set to -4 and exposed around +1 stop. It’s an amazing camera, especially for the price and the options it offers!

Depends on how your shoot - I only shoot small clips, so not a problem. If you do long clips in 4K 60, it will be a problem. But that would typically be the whole ceremony, which wouldn’t make sense in 60fps

Thank you 🙏🏼 Yes, I do - I can highly recommend Earth LUTS, amazing for Fuji and so easy to work with. You get a good variety and can always find something that matches your needs. XT4 is a great camera, and with LOG you extend the dynamic range, so highly recommend shooting in this. The camera has a built in LOG assist, that gives you an idea of the final image, instead of looking at a flat profile.
