Why not connect your new trolling motor power to the underside of the female plug for the old trolling motor? 12v and ground from the battery already there and you don't destroy your old cable.

What engine did you get. I just bought a 175 TF and up graded to the 75 hp. I get 40-42 fully loaded and two people. That’s why I’m asking.

Good video. I’m definitely no expert but have a suggestion on “puck” placement. I’ve heard and seen that when the Terrova is on the 175, it’s already a little tough to get at the release foot pedal. Just not a bunch of room up there on the 175. You talked about placing the puck on the deck just below the stored motor. It seems that would add to the congestion on the side in which you must stand to get at the release foot pedal. I would probably tuck it in fairly close to your Garmin unit unless that would create interference but it would be out of the way and not get stepped on or kicked. Again, enjoyed the video.

If you don't use the two pedestal seat mounts on either side of center, I would suggest removing them and covering the holes. Your rods don't stand a chance if you inadvertently step on them when they are laying across them. I speak from experience.

where did you find those trailer steps? I dig them

What size is the 4 blade prop you have?

Like the way you attached the transducer cable. Which I can across this video earlier before having a dealer install the Garmin transducer. They ran it up the shift & I had to take it off because it twisted around. Not sure if it ruined the cable or not but I'm a little disappointed. Thanks again for sharing!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!

So don’t think tracker is gonna warranty your hull anyhow… my 2007 had matching cracks in the hull and was told tough luck so yea Johnny Morris is trash for the entire industry

What about running through some weeds? Of if that cable gets stuck on a stick, branch or log. Seems like it could rip the motor off or break the shaft.

Great instructional video. I was a little intimidated on installing my Terrova myself but out of all the videos I watched this one put me most at ease.

Q - You had indicated that you were going to use your garmin transducer and not the transducer on the TM, because 'you wanted more than just sonar'. What did you mean by that? Surface temp? or is there more than just surface temp you were looking for that the TM transducer will not provide?

I used some high quality led light strips and they melted or something and rubber ran down the insides of my javelin 366fs Made quite the mess

Never lost a boat at the dock like that but did dunk my wife in the lake at a dock when she was 6 mo pregnant. My son is a darn good swimmer now.

Hello there I have a 2010 bass tracker TXW 175 I was looking at that exact motor and 12 V and was worried about how much power and how long the battery would hold up I was just wondering if you’ve had a chance to put it the test thank you very much for your time

Nice clean setup. However, I don't know if you use spot lock, but if you do it looks like the stiffness of that 1/4" steel bike lock cable will wrap around and interfere with the turning motion of the motor. Has this been an issue?

This video was extremely helpful. My terrova just showed up today. I am going to utilize these tips for sure. Thank you! I do have one question. Are there any clearance issues with the bow roller when launching the boat? I notice the terrova sticks out significantly further than the edge.
