Sebago Uphonix Par Deux
Just got the amp back from Bill after installing a Loop. The Les Paul sounds outstanding and is a really great OD at lower gain settings. For the Dirt section I had the gain @ noon. Perfect Presence on this rig. Stoked to gig it next week for all the toneheads that come to our shows

Muzz gear sales
Переглядів 45211 років тому
OK- so just trying to create a fun way to sell some of the gear we are shedding here at The Muzz. We actually buy all of our own gear so we can say whatever we want about it. I know there is limited pics of the JB Les Paul but there are more for sure. Please email us @ muzzflow@gmail.com if you have any questions about the gear or are interested in purchasing.
Quinn Hot Buttered Scotch demo..
Переглядів 7 тис.11 років тому
Finally here, The fully edited version of Themuzz Demo of the Hot Buttered Scotch. So these takes were essentially all test shots and Voice drops for what would be the actual version that Felipe and I were going to go back and shoot. It turned out that this was pretty good.. The opening sequence has the guitar just annoyingly out of tune but we liked the look of it so we kept it in..The idea wi...
Great sounds and playing? What’s your favorite amp and favorite D*mble style amp?
Ah yes, let's take a $6000+ amp and demo it with a Squier.
There really is not much tonal difference between a fender strat and a squier. The amp creates the tone. The main difference in expensive guitars is feel and playability.
Oh that’s billion81. Miss your posts on that forum that shall not be mentioned. And your clips
Awesome Sounds !!! That's the tone in my head. I gotta find one. Thanks Bro for the inspiring playing and Tone for Day's. I know this is an older video, but Good Tone is Timeless. Just Awesome my Friend. Thanks man...
It's like plugging into a really expensive, classic recording console preamp, then running it into a hi-fi stereo poweramp, then into guitar speakers. Utterly magnificent.
not quite
Totally digging Clapton’s “Lonely Stranger” at 2:42! Gorgeous tone
Thanks!
killer!
sure cant hide behind that................
Great tone👍😀 nice playin’ too
Say it ain't so!!!!!!!!!
That Squier sounds better
Booooooooring.
Got this profiled in my Kemper and boy is it amazing!
You’re definitely missing out on the feel then, which is where an SSS really shines
Ted did you fall of the face of the earth or what bro?! Time for some demos my man!
Sounds really good..
Beautifully voiced amp... Great licks.
Awe inspiring ! Magnificent..
Killer tone. I'd love to feel the sound!
So Bill is installing loops now thats funny because when we built the one here I suggested that to begin with and the first ones too slag us over that was Bill I think the quote was he has seen everything now.. Yea Bill they do sound better with loops why didnt I think of that...3-4 years ago I guess ive seen it all now...
Cool - what which brand is the red guitar on the wall at 6:10?
Charvel Surfcaster.. Jackson also makes a ‘new’ model with the same bodyshape..
I have a quick question....ever looked at red plate amps and how do they compare.?????
Hey a redplate cab. I have an RP50Duo and that thing is _BAD__ASS_
spent 3grand on amps and pedals and still can't get that clean tone
nice! now throw a metal zone in front of it get some EMGs and ur set!
It appears you have some other Dumble style amps. How does this modded Bassman compare to them? Which do you prefer?
+michael miller Yes- at one time we've had most of the various Voiced dumbles. The Overdrive Special amps are certainly from construct and layout standpoint very different from the Uphonix circuits. Tonewise- the Bassman Uphonix is more like a a perfect Joe Perry TITA tone- The clean side is really nice and sparkly. Essentially the left channel is a JCM800 using 6l6s..Take that for what it is until you play it. To compare to the ODS amps is something I probably can't do in word form.. More out front-- Mid centric is one thing that is what I like about these amps. Cut pot too.
This amp's circuit with no doubt captures,.. allows,.. for the overtone recipes that deepen and blends the popular spiritual per say ''Sounds of the Day''! You can choose a million words, you can play in any sense of the imagination,...you can even say using KT88s brings out the unique Strat overtures that identifies what you hear here, in the mind, in the heart and the outcome is the same ''Uh Huh,..It's That Sound''!!! Make it simple and call it what you will,..it's what Jimi played, SRV, Robin Trower, Pat Travers, and the many hosts of others, question is,.. ''Is it the Chicken or the Egg'', ''And Who Made Who''!!! ''It Does What You Do''.
No Wonder Stevie Ray Vaughan loved his trusty Dumble SSS they have so much high and low end punch and just sound so much better than any other Vintage amps out there.. FYI, Stevie for a short period did use a TS9 but soon switched and added two side by side Ibanez TS-808s with the Original 1979 JRC-4558-IC chip... those two SRV owned TS808 pedals were bought and later sold by Eddie Vegas...$$$$$$$$
I love all of the "Dumble Clones" and glad you had the pleasure of playing with one for awhile. I sure couldn't pay $30,000.00 for a Dumble, nor $5,000.00 for a Welagan, the closest for me was a MojoTone kit, that took me years to complete. Thanks for the post!
+merman93 What type of kit from mojo tone did you build? Thanks!
@@koenroels4549 probably this broke loser built that crappy dumble "set' and then looked at it and said that why am i still alive?
What speakers are you using? Thanks
Those are Celestion Creambacks.
Amazing sounding amp. What is the song at 2:09 its driving me crazy!?
That's the lick from I know a Little by Lynyrd Skynyrd
Sensacional..., parabéns pelo belissimo trabalho !! Amplificador dos Sonhos.
!
Wonderful tone !
Great tom!
Is this for sale?
jaime aparicio Dá pra achar esse e outros modelos aqui www.welagen.com/ ;)
Yeah that is nice.
whats that on top of the amp is that a buffer...
Hello- sorry for laggin on a response. Yes- that is a Glaswerks Reverbaloop- killer tube buffered 'verb with some really cool delay features.
I think he says they are "stock abigail pickups" @ 1:07
What pickups are in this guitar?
Those are Abigails- Which is to say they are regular old Machine wound, Low output Single Coils. Anything over 7 is too hot for my tastes. Low output=more musical to me. I pretty much do the same with 'buckers.
Amp sounds great!
Thanks Nate.. I was playing it today- love that thing!!
Diggin' the amp nice playing and great tones! I would like to hear how it takes more pedals(chorus, overdrives and delays ect.).
Sadly the Good ship SSS is off to a new owner.. We love 'em and leave 'em..A client used it for a protracted recording session and was loved so much that they purchased it outright.
You sold me on it and I just ordered one. I'm playing a Strat through a Budda Twinmaster Plus with 4-10" speakers. It seems a have little less buzz then my Fuchs Plush drive.
That Airbloom guys is nuts! Careful he may come after you with some loud out of tune repeating tired blues licks.....fuck him
Funny- This is the guy who says he only wants to sell one amp per month. I'd be willing to bet cash money he hasn't sold a single amp or produce a reference to a customer that has purchased his amps. Bill, do you ever leave your bedroom? What does this guy do for a day job other than play the same tired blues lick in his bedroom?
We didn't think it was hate at all. We thought your clip was shit, your Liverpool sounded OK but the guitar sounded like it was desperately in need of a set up. We count from several builders that are all friends of ours on the numerous and late night- Lithium fueled rants so...Anyway- My dad was born in '38 and was killed in Vietnam. So that would put you in (Conservatively) in your 80s which makes sense as your Video footage looks like it was shot with a 70s era VHS recorder.
That is nice Ted.
ooh a bit of steve gaines i believe.
It's a Fender Bassman that has been modded with a Dumble style mod that he did to some old Fender and Marshall amps. The left input is the Dirt side which is essentially a Marshall JCM 800 style channel and the other channel is pure bluesmaster clean. The reason it sounds so gnarly on the dirty channel is that he still using a 6l6 power section. It's a tad thin on this recording but it sounds insane live. The prices on this amp are crazy good. Bill's is a kick as builder!!
Olaf..You are totally correct. I wish I was better at editing and not a shiftless and lazy ass of a human. I had a partner who could do all that shit but he is back in Brazil. Your point is well received..I am hopeful to participate in the revolution- maybe a course or something..Be well brother!!
Farkin A!!! Serious glassiness on the OD side. Perfect 90s pop rock gain!! Nice Smithereens riff!
