once you max out the mod slots, you only get augments. This happens far earlier with a pistol than other weapons because pistols are more likely to get a weapon mod on level up than an other weapons are. That's the reason the starter pistol is actually one of the best weapons in the game. Once you figure out a build you like, you can rip down that path fast and get way ahead of the curve easily.

I just realized your random move speed buffs were from your weapon stock upgrade, the flamethrower one. It gives you a short and stacking move buff for picking up exp.

if you're worried about health, go around the edge of the map and blow up vines and such, they can all drop apples or med packs. There are also a few apply trees you can kill for a bunch of apples. If you aren't going focused on armor and regen, that's the ideal solution, but if you go focused on armor and regen, you can make a build that can practically walk through hordes and not worry about it.

you found quantum quills, it's an underbarrel piercing projectile.

the bayonet is great for the splitter dudes. When you kill one, smaller ones burst out together, so if you've got a bunch, the bayonet rocks their world.

having hung out on the discord and such, you trying to reveal the map to get to know the area is the game play loop for new players the devs wanted to help people learn the ropes, so you're making the right calls there, especially if you're keeping track of where points of interest like towers and vine heavy areas are (to get healing drops)

Long term player of the game, probably gonna post a ton of comments here, but it helps your engagement, so here we go. As far as how to gather exp, if you aren't going for field resources, just standing in one place and letting them swarm you can get you levels the fastest, overall. That said, if you want field resources or they overwhelm you, running and gunning and using towers gives you nearly the same total level gain, just in a burst which is fine, but when you put a gun on your drone, it levels up at the same pace as you did in the run you made the gun, so it will cause uneven progression of your drone.

The pain of keeping choosing max health instead of healing when you hadn't been above 50% hp in 10min xD, great vid tho

After breezing through this run I think some weapons are just flat out better than others. What’s the strongest weapon in the game?

A thought: should I be doing Masteries before trying to get Hazard 5 on all the biomes? Am I handicapping myself by ignoring them?

I think I should probably go with extra beams versus longer range on the flamethrower in the future - it just seems like the added AoE is better that way. Am I wrong?

24:08 well mining gold and nitra in last level is indeed useful to get good drops if you got bad ones by doing rerolls in upgrades. Like in 25:24 you got all common upgrades you also had gold for reroll you can get good ones.
