What a beautiful shot of a creature you hardly see. I can say you were blessed with the encounter.!!!! Thx 4 posting and sharing with us the gold spotted eel.
Thanks so much for your kind words, Benny! We feel incredibly lucky to have captured such a rare encounter. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. By the way, we've recently started adding voice over marine life trivia to our videos. Have you noticed? We'd love to hear your thoughts on this new format!
@@DutchCaribbeanDiving Yes I have noticed the voice adding. It’s in my opinion better, because it gives a good explanation about the marine life, coral reef, and all thats happening down there. Thanks again for all the videos you guys are posting.! I really do enjoy it.
Isn't it fascinating to see such resilience and adaptability in such a tiny creature? 🐠 How do you think camouflage helps the Trunkfish survive in the ocean's depths?
Thanks so much, Keith! The Goldspotted Eel truly is a remarkable creature, isn't it? Its captivating presence makes every dive an unforgettable adventure. Stay tuned for more stunning underwater scenes!

Yes, Tait! This video was filmed in the beautiful waters surrounding Bonaire. The island is a paradise for divers and snorkelers, with its vibrant marine life and stunning coral reefs. Hope you enjoyed the elegant Black Durgeon! 🌊🐠🇧🇶
Absolutely, Ambatukam! The black coloration of the Black Durgeon, along with its vibrant yellow stripe, certainly adds to its unique beauty. It's fascinating to observe the variety of colors and patterns that nature has bestowed upon marine life. Thank you for appreciating the charm of these incredible creatures! 🌊🐟

The colors fade away slowly as you go deeper Robert Mendez. Thats why it looks a bit crappy. Finally at a certain depth, it’s all black & white that you will see. A flashlight will make all the colors vis again.
Hi Benny, you're absolutely right. Water depth can affect the way we perceive colors, and at certain depths, everything may appear black and white. Bonaire is indeed known for its healthy reefs, and we're grateful to be able to share their beauty with our viewers. Thanks for your insightful comment! 🌊🐠🌈
Hi Robert, thank you for your comment. It's true that underwater footage can sometimes fail to capture the true vibrancy of a reef due to lighting and depth conditions. However, rest assured, the reefs of Bonaire are teeming with life and color. We'll strive to bring you more of this in our upcoming videos. Keep watching!

Oh my, God. That's an interesting observation! Unlike their clawed cousins, the spiny lobsters don't have pinchers. Instead, they possess long, strong antennae, which they use for defense against predators and for navigation in their environment. Pretty cool adaptation, right?
It took an american lady days, and lots of patience, before she could finally belly rub one of them at Something Special. She had to turn her face to breath too, because bubbles scare them. I had to see it, to believe it. Very nice close up shot.! They are so shy.
Hi Benny! Thanks for sharing that amazing story. It's incredible to hear about the patience and dedication of that lady, and how she was able to connect with the squid in such a unique way. I'm glad you enjoyed the close-up shot in this video, and I totally agree - they're such shy and fascinating creatures!
It breaks my heart that there are people out there like you that take pride in ripping these beautiful creatures away from their families just so you can have one meal. Especially these days when we have great options like beyond meat which tastes identical to animal meat. HOW DARE YOU!?!?
Jake, your comment gave us a good chuckle! While it's true that spiny lobsters are considered a delicacy by many, their role in the ecosystem and their fascinating behaviors make them equally captivating to observe in their natural habitat. We hope you'll enjoy our future videos just as much, whether they feature dinner candidates or not!
Wow, I've never seen a Bandtail Puffer up close like this before! 😍 Does anyone know if they're friendly or if they have any defense mechanisms when they feel threatened? 🤔
Great question! Bandtail Puffers are generally non-aggressive, but they do have a unique defense mechanism. When they feel threatened, they can inflate their bodies by filling them with water or air, making themselves appear larger and less appealing to predators. It's quite a fascinating sight to witness! Thanks for your curiosity and for watching the video! 😊🐡
Hi Jake! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. You're right - the Bluespotted Cornetfish does have a unique appearance with its large mouth and slender body. Thanks Benny! You are welcome and I appreciate your comments. Indeed on Bonaire you don't see many. I know there is a big one who has lived around Lighthouse point for a couple years. They live 2 to 4 years so I need to catch some shots of him while I still can.
Thanks for your comment! Yes, the coral behind the Coney is indeed fascinating. It's commonly known as spikey tube sponge. This beautiful and unique species adds even more allure to the captivating underwater world!
