Oh no! Transcending is a risk with this mod. The territories you had only allowed to pick Aksmumites and the green player took that, so you needed to go for northwest africa to pick carthage or garamantes. Anyway, if you're not planning to go out of africa this era, there are 2 possibilities: Ghanaians in west africa or Swahili in east africa, so have that in mind or you can be forced to transcend again.
It’s a fun challenge - but I’ll focus on expanding so I can pick another culture next era. Thanks for the expansion tips!
Finally getting to join in with a new season of HK, episode by episode!
1:47 Looks like North Africa.
Being attacked by wildlife in the middle of a war is unbearable!
Seriously!
VIP mod is the only to play 😊.
I love it!
Whats gonna be the next season? :)
I’m going to play with a new mod that chooses my culture based on where I am in the world :)
U could also go a bit further in role paying by learning abt the ideology of the culture and role playing ther choices like in civics and stuff
Good job on winning that war. Microbiology will certainly help a lot with your stability issues, and I'm still hopeful for your future
Oh, on the stability drop, it was caused by rising pollution levels worldwide. The game is coming to a close and pollution is supposed to be part of the "endgame" challenge. Industrial and Contemporary has a lot of big stability boost which could help a lot
Ah, thank you, not knowing was driving me mad! I’m so behind on research.
Did you notice the power of dug-in? The enemy troops who moved to attack you were defeated in one hit, but the ones that stayed still and got to dig in lasted for upwards of 7 shots each
Yes, I need to be looking for those opportunities for myself.
This seems like a fun game :)
It really is, I’m loving it!
For when this series ends for the next one u should play on the world map and simulate culture from where u are settled in for example if youre in india u could chose all india cultures for progression for simulation.
That’s a good idea!
there's a BePinEx mod that forces that for not only you but also the AI opponents
@@BrunoCarvalhoPaulaoh awesome, I think I’ll do that for season 8! Thank you.
Damn that naval engagement was terrible! You're using sailboats against 20th century frigates, thats harsh
Yeah it sucked lol I'm way behind her on research for sure.
What a way to start the episode! Lets give you a lategame military tip so you can increase your warring performance: After you research Line Infantry (and brown has it), your gunners and heavy weapons gain the DUG IN bonus, and become very hard to destroy. To remove the DUG IN bonus, attack FIRST with units that can shatter fortifications, like mortars, howitzers, capital ships and planes, then focus fire on the units you shattered!
AH wish I had seen this before recording 16 just now! I have to record 17 now too, so I'll focus on that.
Love it! XD!
OKAY JUST IN CASE YOU GOT TO KNOW THE NAMES THE SAMURAIS NAME IS YASUKE DOES THE NAME OF THE SAMURAI/THE NAME OF THE FEMALE ASSASSIN IS NAOE THAT IS THE NAME OF THE FEMALE ASSASSIN
Oh no Kay please pay attention to your cities! you wasted the entire episode's worth of production in Knossos because it was producing a musketeer and there were an army in the city's spawn point making it not produce anything. Our ep 13 tip has to do with absorbing: You are way over city cap, impacting your stability. Merging cities can help
Disappointed about not seeing that in Knossos 😔 Thank you. Yeah, I’m don’t have the influence, I’m trying to raise it so I can merge. It’s so expensive!
Have you heard of Assassin's Creed: Codename Red before? That was the project name for AC: SHADOWS and the teaser trailer for the project was released at the same time as AC: MIRAGE's cinematic trailer. I don't know how you missed that. There is also a Codename Jade and Codename Hex.
Im kinda hyped, but is Ubisoft😴. Hope it's not a RPG game again and a really boring story.
It will be good but most likely not like an Assassin's creed
its a an rpg game for sure
@@antoanhernandez8546It will be AC, wth are u on budy
It's a woke garbage just wait.
Its also got SBI linked to it and that is more then enough to steer very clear of this game.
I am pumped for this! I love the new graphic stle of it. It reminds me of the Civ 6 graphic style! I just hope it is longer than Mirage!
Wow, I'm impressed by the AI. It send a divesionary stack near carthage while their main forces attacked knossos in the north. Great manuevering in their part. Here's two techs that can help a lot in these wars: Nationhood for the gunner militia, and Line Infantry for the dug-in bonuses. Also, have I told you how much I love the industrial battle music? It rocks
Im open and willing to watch longform content so if you ever want to upload an uncut playthrough of a session id love it
Crafting and all, i like what is real
@@ItsWeldonMediaare you talking about how I pause the video when I cook an obscene amount of meat? I can certainly keep recording instead of pausing. :)
If I can find the time to do longer episodes, I will try! Or maybe it would be better if two longer episodes were released per week instead of five shorter ones.
So glad i found a modern playthrough, and its a woman with a delightful personality! Thank you for recording!
Happy to hear you're enjoying the playthrough! ☺
I believe Kay is now a firm believer on the power of boats. Also, they get better in the later eras, so you've only tasted the start of the gunboat dominance. There's a reason why a few boats made Japan open their market in the 1800s. Our ep11 tip is a simple one: German's coking works gets really good with coal (unsurprisingly) so if you have any way to get coal that will supercharge your production. Also, here's another battle tip: check your unit's ranges! Torpedo boats only have a range of 2, so you can attack them from more than 2 tiles away and they can't retaliate you
Are you on discord Bruno?
@@BloodRoseKay Yes, I usually hang around in the official amplitude discord
Congrats on the war win! If you want to take sparta still, make sure you have a good navy and your ships can assault it. Here's our ep10 tip: late game militarists are terrifying if you use the Raise Army button a lot, because you gain free troops that can be used war and to keep the peace (and stability) high in your city, and also ward off any starvation (since troops don't eat food), but late game militarists get doubly strong because the Nationhood tech unlocks gunner militia, so all your militia (newly raised and/or raised before the tech) will upgrade to powerful gunner units.
Yeah, a toast to the first gains in the war. Btw, you could take Sparta with your ships, naval units can besiege and take cities as well, so feel free to use them to take island cities and to help in your land invasions too like in Knossos
Randomly got suggested so WHY NOT?
Lol thanks UA-cam! 😂 Hope you enjoy!
Even though the betrayal was impressive, you really showed you have a lot to learn on the military game. I suggest (for the future) a deep dive on it with a combat-focused game so you can learn the intricacies better, or you leaving the battles to automatic. Some few pointers: 1) Cavalry can't cross walls, so you need to break walls with siege weapons and artillery (mortars, howitzers, etc) so you can get inside and use them in sieges; 2) You need to be wary of the terrain, there were a cliff south of Athenai that gave you a lot of trouble; 3) to enter walls with infantry, the unit needs to be adjacent to the walls with full movement then you move inside one tile; 4) You need to read the unit description to understand their strenghts and weaknesses. For insance, the geokbuseon are stronger when adjacent to their target and you were using them to shoot from afar, making them much weaker than the enemy galeasses.
I knew this tip was going to be brutal 😭 But I appreciate it! You're right.
Are you doing story quest only?
I’m hoping to do side quests too! It’s going to be a long series.
It'll be hard to run out of techs to research now since you're a scientist culture and can research one era ahead. However, this might be a problem next era, so maybe gunning for a short industrial (fueled by conquest for those quick militarist stars maybe?) is the way to go.
Wow. I doubted the Mississippian pick since you were so behind in faith and had no religious quarters to benefit from the Mississippi building, but seems they helped you claw back and retake religious control of your lands. That was great! Now for our tip, I see that you've been constantly outresearching, arriving the end of the era's tech tree way before you get all stars. You need to reduce your science focus by moving people out of researcher and stop picking science boosting events while you have nothing to research, and focus on getting other stars such as militarist and expansionist. Also I wouldn't wait 8 turns for that attachment. Thats 8 turns without researching anything, and thats terrible.
Excellent point, thank you.
One thing I noticed in this episode is how low your production/industry is in some of your cities, since you have most of population focused on food/science, and only 1 or 0 pop in Industry. Your city industry was only 31-ish. When you're at war, like in this episode, you might consider switching all your pop to Industry, and taking it off Food first, then Science. It would have doubled you're industry, allowing you to build Elephants and Swordsman/Archers twice as quickly. You may not have wanted folks to starve, but building troops quickly is a great way to simultaneously reduce your food needs by building your army.
Great tip, thank you!!
what difficulty level you are playing at?
This season was played on nation difficulty.
Just as I have predicted, the enemies are catching up. You'll get some nice trade route effects in the latter half of the game such as the great fishmarket (medieval), Three Masted Ships (e.modern) and railroads (industrial) but before then it is hard to just buy everything or you'll be really broke!
Oh, a great start for sure, but that only makes it harder to keep up! Can you keep this lead for the whole game? Will this friendly relationship with Walinong Sari last for long? This episode leaves us with a lot of questions. Anyway, lets go for our ep2 tip: As a merchant culture (the Carthaginians are merchants), you can buy resources (any resource) from anyone without having any treaties, so feel free to buy anything your heart desire, but be wary to not spend too much in trade route maintenance!
A fresh start! Our first episode tip is sadly too late, but it can help in future games: You never want to move to Ancient without an outpost fully done. You moved up with the outpost still building, should've waited for it to finish (or at least for when it was only 1 turn away from finishing) so you can create the city as soon as you move up instead of having a few extra turns with only scouts without the bonus of neolhitic curiosities.
Congratulations on your win! I'm proud of how much better at the game you've become, from being steamrolled to winning the game by a less than 1% margin (it was about 130 fame ahead of 2nd place while you had 14k fame). An ocean game will surely be interesting, as with less land pollution will be less of a problem for sure. Before you begin Season 7, I suggest you to update the mod as it has had some updates since the start of season 6. Cya there!
Thank you for all of your help! There's so much to the game, it's been great learning more about it. Can't wait to have the ocean back!
Looking forward to more videos! FYI, you can speak to literally every single animal in the game. They have some fun dialogue and some lore titbits. You should try to get at least one party member who can speak with animals.
What?! That's awesome! I wonder if Gale can. Love the tips, thank you.
@@BloodRoseKay I’m playing a bard MC as well as. Bards have access to Speak with Animals. You can cast it out of combat and it lasts until the next time you long rest.
@@neurolancer81 Thank you! That tip really paid off in part 4!
This was a thrilling episode fame-wise! You went from 2nd to 1st to 3rd and there's no way we can be sure which will be the end result. Will you be able to win? I still remember the last time you tried this difficulty and how you went south quickly, can you do it this time? I'm on the edge of my seat!
You and me, both! I practically had my nose to the computer screen when recording this 😂
Nice first episode! Def slow down though, look around and talk to EVERYONE. There is tons of content in this game, you will want to take your time and experience as much as you can! And even then you will likely miss stuff. It's just part of the game but the slower you go, the more you talk the better the experience will be no matter what choices you make
