In 2015 I worked in the medical field and faced multiple charges of prescription fraud , quite simple I abused my position and the trust the physicians who employed me and wrote myself prescriptions. I rarely thought of the consequences only thought that I physically, mentally and selfishly "needed" the pills. I even tricked myself into believing I wasn't a addict or a "junkie" because my drug of choice came from a clean pharmacy, I turned the pharmacist in my area unknowingly into my drug dealer. Then like a delicate house of cards, everything came crashing down. I was a single mother, a daughter, a sister, a nurse and a drug addict. It was during this most scary and difficult time that I oddly felt a peace wash over me. Finally! My secret was out, I hadn't realized til then how much effort I had invested in keeping all my loved ones in the dark. I was fortunate that the prosecutor on my case referred me to Adult Drug Court and after a lot of ups and downs with more surely to come this past October 14th I celebrated 5 years clean. It is by the grace of God, my supportive family and newfound family in fellowship that I am alive and able to get moving forward but never forgetting where I have been. Brian thank you for this Vlog. As a addict we are judged quite harshly by those who don't or simply cannot understand. But as a recovering addict in the medical field you are watched closely ( as it should be, i get it) but working in the field at times can feel like walking a tightrope, one slip and everything can come crashing down again.

I agree Mr Brain Webb. I hope this medical professional gets the help they need to face this situation. They have obviously helped many ppl but just got wrapped up in there drug use. We all should see both sides of the road KUDOS
