Christiansborg is the building of our Government and Parliament ( Folketinget ). The building of present day Danish politics. The castles, where the Royals live are at Amalienborg! All the official ceremonial parts of the recent transition from Margrethe to Frederik took place in or at Christiansborg. When Margrethe signed her resignation ( the ACTUAL moment Frederik became King!) it was in "Statsrådet" with all of Government present + also the former, current and future Monarchs ( Margrethe, Frederik and Christian). The official part of the Proclamation from the Christiansborg balkony was only the part with our PM and the new Reigning Monarch there. The parts after the PM left the balkony was only an "extra" for the audience there.
