All the stars were aligned during that period. Nothing Brian or the band could have done. Everything happened for a reason. Politicians wanting a crack down on illegal raves and drugs. The management wanting rid of the singer. The song writer with constant pressure of being able to write but not sing. The Main Stream media following the script of build them up then knock them down. I was a similar age when all this was going on. let me just say, the way Brian was attacked from all corners would have destroyed the strongest of us. He was just a young lad enjoying life. He said some outrageous things yes! but haven’t we all. Imagine if he had taken his own life under all that pressure!?! Another death thanks to the media. Thankfully he got through it and thanks to him things must have changed in the industry to protect the artists. Just like when the titanic sank, new legislation came in to make things safer. After what Brian did the management had no choice but to put in place professional lawyers and PA’s to advise them on all areas of communication. The industry has a lot to thank Brian for. Unfortunately it was to late for him. A great decade of music and controversy.
