Yeah there's a few cheap complete brands I've heard good things about, element, globe is another one, next time I'm in the market for a cheap quick fix I'll grab something like that and report my findings 😁 It's crazy how much rain we had in June and July, starting to look better now though we must've appeased the skate gods with our latest content 🤣

Same, I started around 2001, my first was a Hud which was one of those cheap brands sold in sports shops here in the UK. Not sure they even make them anymore haha. Went through 3 or 4 similar boards before I eventually convinced my parents to let me get a world industries board about a year later

Cheers mate appreciate it! 100% agree with everything you said, there's no point starting on expensive gear, it's just a matter of knowing where to shop to get the best value for money. Honestly I was quite happy skating the Tony Hawk, even though it wasn't perfect it was usable. Just a little bit too small for my liking 😂 Pulling the curtain back a bit here (in case it wasn't already obvious enough 😜) but the board going in the bin was just a joke, I've kept it because even though it's no use to me someone else might get some value out of it!

@@fatdadskatesbad I guess it's all relative. The Tony Hawk felt OK at the time but going back to it after skating the Enuff it felt like skating a toy board. When I go to my new setup I'm sure the enuff won't feel great then either 😂 I think talking nonsense is just a dad thing, it's something most if not all of us can relate to 🤣 cheers bud appreciate it 👊

Thanks mate, same here it's pretty rare that I get the chance to skate with other people since there's only a handful of skaters in my area. Totally agree, the people who actively support other skaters on here are the ones that matter the most and they're the ones that inspire me when I feel like I'm going through the motions or wasting my time or whatever. Whether they're commenting on my videos and encouraging me, or posting content that gets me hyped to skate, that's the main thing that keeps me coming back.

Cheers mate, yeah not gonna lie it was a bit disheartening at the time but it's out there now, as long as someone has seen it and enjoyed it that's all that matters. Sometimes I wonder if I was better at skating would it draw more views, but I have to keep reminding myself that's not why I do this. Yeah next project is gonna be a big one, probably 15-20 mins long which I'm not usually keen on but think this one needs it. It's progressing nicely though, hopefully have it up in the next couple of weeks 👌

That's exactly it mate, I could release a load of utter shit that panders to the algorithm and the flavour of the month but there would be no soul in it, it would just be for the sake of getting views. I'm not saying I don't already release shit, but it's my shit 🤣👌

Thanks man really appreciate that. tbf if a handful of people or even just one person enjoyed it I've done what I set out to do. I try not to fixate on numbers but it's hard not to be frustrated given the hours I put into it

If you're thinking about getting a handboard I'd definitely recommend spending a little more and get a real wood one they're so much nicer than the cheap plastic ones 🤘

You'll need to check the manual for your particular model and see if it's compatible with external lenses, and it should tell you what size of lens you need. If you don't have the manual, they're usually pretty easy to find on Google. Hope this helps!

I think as a life long Paratrooper with 7 combat tours and family that is provided for keeps me grateful as well as humbly understanding that I didn't do any of this on my own. Cos it helps dry the puddles quicker and blows away any dirt etc. Much quicker than a brush 👌
