Message: Dear Mummy GO, Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the grace of God upon your life and the divine mandate He entrusted to you. Your teachings have been a light, bringing clarity, conviction, and encouragement to me and many others seeking to live godly and holy lives in preparation for the Lord's return. As I reflect on God's call to obedience and the charge to keep our garments spotless, I find myself seeking deeper understanding about women’s roles in ministry. Scriptures like 1 Timothy 2:12-“I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet”-seem clear about restrictions on women preaching in church. Yet, other passages, such as the ministry of Deborah as a judge and prophetess (Judges 4), and the Samaritan woman evangelizing after encountering Jesus (John 4:28-30), show God using women mightily to proclaim His truth. Practical Application and Clarity: God’s Hierarchy in the Church: God is a God of order, as seen in 1 Corinthians 14:33-35. While certain roles in the church have boundaries, this does not diminish the value of women in His kingdom. Women are clearly instructed to teach other women and children (Titus 2:3-5), which is a powerful ministry on its own. For example, a woman teaching younger women how to live godly lives glorifies God and strengthens families and communities. Evangelism Outside the Church: Examples like the Samaritan woman or Mary Magdalene announcing Jesus’ resurrection (John 20:17-18) show that women can proclaim the gospel in settings where they are not exercising authority over men. These stories remind us that obedience to God’s leading is paramount, wherever He sends us. Humility in Ministry: I recall one of your teachings during a men’s meeting where you removed your shoes out of reverence for God and respect for those you taught. That act of humility demonstrates how we can align with God’s order without compromising the boldness of our calling. Avoiding Contradictions: As we study God’s Word, we must weigh scripture against scripture, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us. Obedience to His mandate, even when it challenges human traditions or expectations, is what pleases God most (1 Samuel 15:22). Our actions must reflect clarity and purpose, ensuring that no one can accuse us of uprooting God’s order. Prayer: Father, thank You for calling Your children, men and women alike, to serve You in different capacities. Give us understanding, wisdom, and humility as we study Your Word and seek to obey Your will. Help us to live in a way that glorifies You and draws others to Your truth.
