Timing Diagram for Negative Edge SR Flip Flop
Переглядів 14 тис.2 роки тому
In this video I go over how to do a timing diagram for a negative edge SR flip flop. SR flip flops are very similar to JK flip flops, but they do not have the ability to toggle Q. They are derived from an SR latch, which the only difference between the two are the enable and clock.
Timing Diagram for Dual Edge JK Flip Flop

Basic Timing Diagrams for Combinational Logic Circuits
Переглядів 27 тис.2 роки тому
In this video I go over how to do a timing diagram for a simple combinational logic circuit, given that there is no delay between gates.
Multiplexers and Decoders

Binary Shifts (SLL, SLA, SRL, SRA)
Переглядів 4,3 тис.2 роки тому
In this video I go over both logical and arithmetic binary shifting for shift left and shift right.
Addition, Subtraction, and Multiplication in Binary
Переглядів 622 роки тому
In this video I go over how to add, subtract, and multiply binary numbers.
Binary to Hexadecimal
Переглядів 842 роки тому
In this video I go over binary (base 2) to hexadecimal (base 16), with a worked example of a 16-bit hexadecimal number that I convert to binary.
NAND-NAND and NOR-NOR Implementation of AOI
Переглядів 1872 роки тому
In this video I go over how AOI (And Or Invert) gates are derived only using NAND and NOR gates.
2's Complement Addition/Subtraction and Overflow
Переглядів 9562 роки тому
In this video I go over basic 4-bit binary addition and subtraction using 2's complement and the concept of overflow.
How to Find Simplified Boolean Expressions Using a Karnaugh Map
Переглядів 1,6 тис.2 роки тому
In this video I go over how to use a Karnaugh Map (K-map) to find the Sum of Products and Product of Sums expressions of a four-variable boolean minterm.

    Bro you draw j&k signal randomly it supposed to be Something specified by a truth table bcs in the exam they don't give us the signal of j&k

      This problem is to find the value of Q given two arbitrary signals J and K. I actually based this problem off previous exams I have taken so I'm sorry if it wasn't exactly what you were studying for

  • @sahildas2339

    How do you draw the ups and down of J and k? is drawing the waveform of j and k depend on me coz depending on J and K we will get Q or it is like we have to learn any specific pattern for J and k??pls reply

    • @cewithcolin
      @cewithcolin 6 місяців тому

      Hi, sorry for the late reply. This example uses arbitrary signals for J and K. In certain problems, they may give you Q and ask to find a possible J and K.

    This is dangerously misleading. SLA does exactly the same as SLL, because in both cases leftmost (most significant) bits are discarded, and zeroes are inserted on the right side. And also you've mentioned logical and arithmetic and DID NOT mentioned the main and most important difference between them - sign preservation. SRA and SRL, unlike SLA and SLL, differs, and the difference is that in case of arithmetic shift the most significant bit is copied and inserted from the left side. Logical shift just inserts zeroes. This is important because when you do SRL on signed negative value, you get the correct result of division both for positive and negative values. In case of SRL, you only get correct result for positive (or unsigned) values, negatives becomes positive and their value doesn't make much sense from division perspective.

    you could have just explained this without using delays, it messed up because of delay

    • @cewithcolin
      @cewithcolin 11 місяців тому

      What do you mean it messed up? I could explain without delays, but in real world problems you will always have propagation delay.
