@@Ak-Chau16 Honestly, other than the snare and hihats, I think I got all of this stuff on the used market so it wasn’t super pricey. Like I said, I still use a lot of it now on much higher level recordings than what this video was, so I think it was worth it in the end

I know I'm super late to post this response, but I really appreciate you saying that about mu vocals. This was the first recording I ever sang lead vocals on... I sat on it for months and months because I was so self-conscious about my voice lol

I didn't intend to replicate that song, but now that you mention it, it does sound very similar. Same chord progression and time feel.

yeah i just played to the song, no metronome. - what you hear on the video is what i hear in my headphones!

sorry for being a year late on this response, but I have La Bella flats on this bass. (had them on there for going on 7 years now, so they're nice and dead) Judging by the tone on this cover, I would assume I was using the Jazz Bass pickup moreso than the P Bass pickup. Probably had the tone knob dimed or close to it. I also compressed heavily and ran it though a tape saturation plugin for a little extra bite.
