Juneau is a tourist trap. $156.00 for two measly pounds of King Crab legs at Tracy's. They herded us in an out like cattle. The food was good but it wasn't $156.00 good. I can buy Alaskan King Crab legs for much less in Virginia. I don't understand why they are sooooooo much more in Alaska where they are supposed to come from. I will NOT be going back to Juneau. Also, I took a trip on the gold rush tram to the top of the mountain. The tram runs $110 for two people and delivers you to the top of mountain where a gift store and restaurant are located. The gifts are over priced and so is the restaurant. It cost me $28 for a single glass of wine and an order of French fries. Forget it. Juneau is a waste of time...unless perhaps if you arranged to rent a car and then left town and explored on your own.

Bluebird Guided Tours are the best way to cruise Alaska. They cost more but include a LOT more at a much higher quality. Makes Princess cruises seem like a seat in the local outhouse.😁 🤣❣️

So glad you had the wonderful time you did in Juneau. It's changed a lot since I lived there in the '90's: the140 yr old wharf I lived on the end of has been replaced by Tracy's Crab shack. You had lunch approximately where my tiny apartment perched. Juneau's a lot more tourist friendly with the new layout & amenities. Congrats on such great destination choosing!❣️

Fyi: you can take the local bus from downtown to Mendenhall for $2.00 per person each way. It also drops you off one and a half mile away from visitors center. $8.00 sure sounds better than $120.00

Wow all those vinyl records and you left without even buying at least one. If that was me, I'd buy as many as I could because there isn't anything better than listening to music from some old vinyl records especially if you have a great old school system to play them on. I have a few records worth big bucks and some from the 70's still wrapped in original plastic and always looking for more. My ex-wife hated when I'd go to yard sales with her and I'd buy some that I already had even if I had 2 or 3 of them because you never know if you just might find some in mint condition. She moved on but I still have every record I started with from 12 years old 50 years ago, and yes still looking for more, and refuse to part with even one. When I die my children can sell them if they want to or keep them and my system which all 6 of my children grew up listening to them and even when I ride with them, they with tune their radio to a classic rock station.
