    I 100% agree when I eat 3/4 meals a day I feel better more energized and loose weight while in the past I was eating 1 meal a day but not loosing weight and hungry all time which leads to poor activity level and that make things worse

    It's a bit ironic, the general rule for most is that it's easy to lose fat but hard to gain muscle. I've found the opposite is true for me, I've been trying to "diet" for years now, but it was only when I started to lift regardless of whatever was going on in my life did I make progress. It's been about a year now, I've gained a lot of muscle and lost some fat. I'm now at the hardest stage... cutting. Anyway, great video and nice to see the effort put in! Thanks for making it!

    • @LouieHampton
      @LouieHampton 4 дні тому

      Yeah I think for guys especially "Building muscle" even just sounds more appealing. When you are training and building muscle it makes you feel like the man, if you are "losing weight" it makes you feel like you've been bad and being punished or something. Even though the process is very similar it's interesting how words can have such a huge impact on us Thanks for the comment!

    Protein shakes were a small thing that allowed me to change my eating habits entirely. In a matter of days, I swapped eating 5 times a day to eating only twice a day. Now I look at my meals not only as brief enjoyment, but primarily as a way to hit protein. Protein shakes help with achieving the daily goal, but they are kinda meh, so it forces me to choose products richer in protein to drink less protein shakes. Another small stuff that's quite cool is actually switching your weighs to pounds, since they reflect the change faster, you are mentally disconnected from the number and the number itself is helpful, it's a bit more than optimal protein requirement for the day. I am loosing 0.8lbs a week now. It's better to pick a flavourless one, it'll taste a bit like milk

    • @LouieHampton
      @LouieHampton 4 дні тому

      Protein shakes are perfect for tricking your brain into think it's had a big meal, but in fact it's just been a big protein hit. That's a really valuable insight Thanks for the comment and congrats on the weight loss! Keep it up

    I’m 35M, I find “cheat meals” such waste of money, for the same cost- I can get way more filling and longer lasting meals.

    • @LouieHampton
      @LouieHampton 24 дні тому

      Totally agree! Best case scenario is just cutting it out all together, but if family and friends invite you out to eat. It's better to enjoy the meal knowing you'll be alright then to beat yourself up about it

  • @AlexForrest-vw8bx
    @AlexForrest-vw8bx Місяць тому

    It literally is all about moderation. As long as your eating clean most of the time ,one cheat meal a week is not going to affect it that much. It’s when you eat that way everyday and hardly eat any vegetables or fruit or have any protein in your diet that’s when you’re going to start having problems. And obviously exercise is important too!

    • @LouieHampton
      @LouieHampton Місяць тому

      It really is! It sucks that people have been lead to believe eating some "junk food" from time to time is going to do some fatal harm. It just puts more stress on people that probably don't need it Thanks for comment!

      I got in shape while working full time and I live on my own with my mom, who has limited mobility. I'd meal prep for both of us on Sunday, and I had a cleaning schedule with chores I could do every day to keep the house presentable, that never took more than 20 minutes daily (with the exception of Saturdays, even I'd mop the house) You can get in shape if you try. Both my mom and me got super lean over COVID while helping my grandma take care of her grandchildren. Even though we were moving less, we had way more control over our food. If you figure out your diet, you've figured out the most important thing when it comes to fat loss / muscle gain. Don't give up

    The need for some particular indicators to continually measurably grow all the time for a process to be deemed worthwhile is a grossly misguided way to live No passion, only calculated action with regular reports valuing progress toward externally validated goals. If you're not doing this one exercise, you're throwing away massive progress! Studies have shown the overhead tricep extension with the cable builds significantly more muscle than other triceps variations. Why? Because with the cable variation, you've got constant tension while the muscle in a stretched position. That's everything you'd ever need. So how do we do it? 1. I like to you the V-Bar grip, but you can also use a rope or flat bar 2. Bring the cable up towards knee hight (My cable machine is a bit too low in the footage) 3. Do the cool spin! (the more extravagant you can make the spin, the more impressive you look for the ladies 😉) 4. Now simply straighten up your back and pull your elbows towards each other. Like you are trying to make them train tracks 5. Lift the bar so your arms come close to fully extended (Don't lock your elbows!) Slowly lower back down until you can't go any further. 6. Repeat.
