Making a Halloween diorama in an old lantern
Hi everyone!
Happy Halloween!! This week is a 1st for me, I'm doing a collaboration video, with myself Pumpkin Becki! Two years ago I made a Halloween Fairy Garden, filled with a miniature graveyard. This year I'm repurposing the miniatures in an indoor Halloween diorama, making all the landscape scenery and putting it in an old lantern.
Stay right to the end and tell me what you think of the special effect video, then pop over to @PumpkinBecki and watch the original Fairy Garden video.
Enjoy!
Love
Rebecca xx

Autumn wreath project - Toadstools, felt and a fairy door
Переглядів 75Рік тому
Hi everyone, In this video I'll be making an adorable Autumn wreath from a mixture of real and made components. There's polymer clay toadstools, leaves cut from felt, acorns and a miniature garden fence and gate. This was so much fun to do, the end result makes me smile so hard, and it used so many different crafty skills! This is quite a long video, so grab your favourite beverage, some tasty ...
Painting a Moonlit Owl in Jo Sonja Matte Flow Acrylics

Hi everyone, This week we are painting one of my favourite owls, the Northern Spotted Owl from the west of North America. I'm using my favourite acrylic paints, Jo Sonja Matte Flow acrylics from Chroma. My owl is in a beautiful, ethereal moonlit forest, perched on a moss covered branch. We'll go from sketch to completed painting, so grab a drink and a snack and settle in. Enjoy! Love Rebecca xx...
The New Color Mixing Companion book - watercolour practice

Hi everyone! This week we're delving into the colour (color) mixing world of Josie Lewis. I received her book "The New Color Mixing Companion" for Christmas, and I've been itching to have a try at some of the examples. My practice session goes a little off piste, but I still achieve something rather lovely, I learned lessons along the way, and after all, isn't that what it's all about? Enjoy! L...
Easy Air Dry Clay Christmas Decorations - Tealight Holders

Hi everyone, This week we are making some incredibly easy Christmas decorations using DAS Air Dry Clay. Making Tudor Reenactment accessories - a simple bag

Hi everyone, This week I'm making another "thing" to help me feel truly Tudor when I take part in "Hever Through History" this August Bank Holiday, at Hever Castle. I LOVE Jo Sonja paints, I've been using them since the mid 1990s when I was introduced to them at a Folk Art painting class. At the time they were hard to come by here in the UK, but they handled so differently to acrylics I'd used previously that I had to get my hands on more. I haven't been disappointed yet :) And a painting like this shows they aren't just for Folk Art/ Barge Painting/ Scandi techiques, they work perfectly for more traditional paintings too xx

Interesting listening to you and seeing the process. Not a very manly item. I was hoping to visit Herctmoceaux, Iv been saving to buy a manly sword. Iv been getting a sort of outfit together, more fantasy than authentic but im learning a bit. Proper re-enactment groups are great for authenticity. Iv chatted with many period groups over the years. very interesting too and now im an expert on everything (nothing). How will re-enactment be in 500 years from now. Imagine someone saying "I like the 20th century Elizebethan fasion... !? Soooo many different fashions you wouldnt know whats what. well we do have film and photos now but i bet it will still be confusing. Rock, punk, goth, western, mods, biker, teddy, hout couture(whatever) spives, skin heds, flappers, 40's, 50's, 60's, glam, drain pipes, flairs, buisnes suits, omg... endless

I love watching videos from historical costumers, and with my family history it's so exciting to be able to reenact as Mary Boleyn, and at her home as well. I can't believe how lucky I am, and I'm looking forward to becoming part of the reenactment group and really learning from them. Herstmonceux is absolutely beautiful, well worth a visit! You're absolutely right, when you think 1920's fashion, you instantly think of flapper dresses and men in suits, they are icons of their time. What would be the stand-out fashion of 2020's? xx

Hi Marjorie, welcome to my channel! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely comment, I really appreciate it xx What is paper fusion? I do lots of card making and do stamping, heat embossing, dry embossing, alcohol markers, watercolours, shaker cards, die cutting, and love mixing up lots of different papers from my stash...when I can bear to cut into the beautiful sheets! :D xx

@@marjoriepark1198 You are very welcome indeed Marjorie, with 2 channels (this being my newest), I can get a little behind with comments, but I do my utmost to respond...it just might take a while xx

The beautiful blues of Sir Francis Drake are the clear winner in my opinion! I think Mystic is a great colour for a recently crowned modern Queen however! 🤣😁🐦💙

Yes I agree, and I think with a little finessing of my equipment, and more outdoor practice I'll relax a bit more :) Katie is such a cutie, I really couldn't have wished for a better dog (and Darcy too obviously :) )xx

Sennelier pans fit. I also just ordered the extra pans for the brush slots. They are so cute and now I have 18 colors in my palette. They have new pan for the Micro palettes too.

Do they, that's very handy to know if you want to switch colours out. I think Portable Painter must have watched my video and thought "what a genius idea, 18 colours instead of 12!"...I haven't seen any royalty cheques though :D ;) xx
