How to remove pinstripe off of a new car
1 hour is nothing.... no wonder my smaller batter died on me
Dealers: we added this dope pin stripe bro that matches absolutely nothing about the cars body lines that’ll be 899.99
Should use br2032
I bought a replacement TPMS set on Amazon and used the MotoScan app to program the bike along with the "wake up" tool gizmo. Worked like a charm!
Will it work with the 7volt vest liner?
Negative.
where did you buy your 12Pack CR2032 Battery, CR2032 3V Lithium Battery with Solder Tabs? great video. thanks!
It's been so long, but I'm fairly certain this was it. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07PT6ZZXT/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A6KUS834LWLTQ&psc=1
I bought a Frontier. Drained the radiator and engine block plush flushed the heater core twice, put it back together and barely had any heat. 3 years later I bought a $90 heater core and was about to spend my Saturday doing this job. Took it to a mechanic to have the a/c evacuated and he talked me into letting him do a flush instead. He did it for under a $100 and now its blowing REAL hot. Just going to return the core. Good video though. I was literally a day away from doing it myself.
I wonder if it’s the same on a 4 cylinder? 🤔
Probably so
H7 55W is the correct one
for a 2017 this did not work for me. good news it is way easier. no need to remove the windshield in my bike keyless FOB for 2017 R1200RT. A bit of background.... strangely enough to use the flat plastic "spare key" you get with the bike you pretty randomly slide the key part between the top of the digital dashboard and the bottom edge of the NAV holder (there is no official "key hole" there). it is able to slide in slightly to the right of center. and if you slide it in there, and only there, you can start your bike with only having the plastic key (slid into that spot). and that means that is the spot for your rfid in your dash. so you start your bike (with the plastic key) then take that key away from the bike then hold the new fob at the same exact spot. you can almost slide it in there a bit if the key is laying flat along the top of the dash at the point and push it a bit will go a bit under the (lower right of the) nav holder. you can press and hold the bmw button until you hear a beep, or just watch the orange key symbol with the ? over it on your digital dash and it will eventually turn off. takes about 30 seconds once the new key is in the right spot. have patience. good luck!
Don't turn the engine backwards. This method only works if you turn the engine in the normal working direction.
Thanks for info I guess the other terminal just presses on the battery
Exactly. As long as you apply enough down pressure, it should stay in contact with bottom terminal.
Thanks for the video!
I tried this and it does not seem to work for me. Following all the steps I still get the yellow key with ? On dash. Using a newly programmed key from dealership with emergency key. Once I removed the emergency key out of range, the new key won’t start the bike. Any suggestions?
I can’t believe these companies go out of they way to make it difficult for us to replace the batteries so they can charge us an arm an a leg.
With a little more effort BMW could have made this impossible. I love this bike, I do all my own maintenance and services - changing this bulb is the most difficult task, I have changed 3 in 88,000 miles and every time its been traumatic.
I had trouble removing the throttle side clipped spring. Carefully guided a small minus screwdriver to apply greater pressure on the spring than my fingers could. It worked right away. Big relief. Hope that helps someone.
Tried a few times but can't get the plug to let go from my low beam light. I was pulling on it like crazy but it won't release. So that stopped me at step 1. Is there an extra step to release the plug in a 2017 RT? Is it clipped somehow? It seems to be.
Ya it's clipped. Look in the video description you'll see a link to some photos. Hope that helps.
@@aaelsawy it shows the light clipped but not the plug. Correct? Plug comes off first then clip then light extracted. Maybe the setup on my bike is different. Thanks anyway.
I'm trying to get this done on my '21 RT with the TFT Is it the same process for that as well?
Hi, I believe the video is really good. I am doing the same project. What did you use as a sealant? Many thanks
Gasket maker
Aquarium sealant is very good also and dries quicker.@@aaelsawy
Just had to take my 2019 r1250rt to the Dealer in Livermore to get the FOB programmed. Turns out, the speaker on the right side had to be removed in order to get the Key FOB close enough to the antenna to recognize it.. $130.00 in labor cost, and now it works...
Not sure if I missed it, what battery was pulled out? 2032? I saw that you put in a 2032.
CR2050HR
@@aaelsawy thank you. I will order 2050 heat resistant instead of 2032.
Great video. You explained everything fully to a T
Thank you for that comment!
Is that one hour on high with both the pants and jacket liner running or is that just individually running or the other?
One garment only.
@@aaelsawy thank you so much you don’t understand how much headache this is going to save me!
Many thanks!! Great help... saved a bunch of time!
Happy it helped!
You failed to show the most important parts.
Sorry!
What size is that charge port? Is that an 8mm???
Not sure
Thanks for the video!
Did you reuse the old plastic heater core tubes or get new ones?
Used originals.. They were fine.
@@aaelsawy Thanks Ayman!
is the wakeup tool absolutely necessary?
No.
@@aaelsawy well... Here goes nothing! For 400 euros, absolutely worth the try. Such a scam making these discardable. Thanks for the tutorial!
@@Cloroethyl any luck?
@@aaelsawy yeah it worked! I used cr2050HR (high temp) . They're slightly bigger. Had to modify the body of the units but it's working alright so far. Thanks for the tips!
thanks for sharing, .. Question about the denali lights, did you use their clamps for the lights or your own?If, yes.. can you tell me which lights you have on your bike please? Cheers
These are clearwater lights the Darlas and Ericas. All their hardware and harnesses installed. Works great!
What was the connection procedure for the lower contact? Did you also solder it ? Thanks
Didn't. It has enough pressure on it to keep it connected. It still works great!
Difficult to solder but if possible, better to. Some people use a very fine wire. The centrifugal force can cause disconnection if not soldered.
@@normanlai haven't had any issues.. the gasket material holds it down so there's no wiggle room.
Thanks for posting this. I just managed to change the bulb in about 15 minutes....Great!
Awesome job dude!
Hi Ayman, do u know if this new key from the factory requires its to be Pre program with our VIN before we program it with the bike? I am thinking to buy the key from a non-bmw dealership but i am worried this key might need some pre-VIN programming before we program it together with the bike. Do u have any idea? Thanks
I'm not sure, but I don't think that will be an issue as long as it's an original key. Mine was not pre programmed in any way. You can always get the blade cut after you program it that way you have the option to return it if it don't work?
Hey bro I just changed out my low beam on the 18 RT. I used Phillips H7. What a pain in the rear. Lol. I had to remove Oem horn due to it being more forward because of my Denali air horn. I found the throttle side spring wire the hardest to get back on. It’s done now, maybe led bulb in the future.
It's tricky for sure. Second time I did it was a lot easier.
Me and anthony owe u a beer!!
Lol cheers!
Will this work with out a hook up to the motorcycle?
Yes
Absolutely love this Video😂 but Why is mine Only beeping on the wall?😳😕
Quick n imformative thumbs up mate
Thanks your video was very informative I just replaced my heater core on my xterra my self my mechanic wanted to charge 850 an claim a two day job I done it in a couple hours me an my brother
I flushed my radiator and engine block with my hose, refilled system with distilled water, ran until hot, and flushed that a couple times (it was real bad). Refilled with radiator fluid.... and I still have crappy heat. Going to flush heater core and if that doesn’t do it.. we’ll then I greatly appreciate this video
Thanks! the tubes broke when the engine got hot, by passed for now and new engine, but this will help allot when I replace core.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
If you are looking for this product, go to www.Gerbing.com then "12 volt Accessories" the scroll down to "Gerbing 12V Heated Clothing Battery Kit 10000 mAh"
Good video...I’d also suggest putting it in the center stand. I know yours was, but wanted to make it clear to others that putting it on the center stand will help. Otherwise the forks get in the way.
I think i can make it work if get two plastic tubes and 8 bolts or screws
hello sir i have very similar setup, do you know the part number for those 8 heater core screws or bolts cant find them greatly appreciated thank you .everything was pretty much the same but that plastic piece its aluminum that doesn't detach had to cut it just to remove it . the new one they gave me has the screw holes but can't find online
I'm afraid I don't.
Ok thanks appreciate the response
Would this work for a Milwaukee heated jacket?
Not sure.
Could you find out for me man, please.
Nope. They have different sized inputs
My fob was not working after I’ve change the battery. This video works for me. Thanks!!!!
Thank you for the feedback. Glad it helped.
