On August 6th, 2021 I was given the opportunity to check out the Aeyang Hospital and Hansen Museum located in Yeosu, South Korea. The sad and horrific experiences the Hansen (Leprosy) patients endured broke my heart as I looked through hundreds of photos and artifacts throughout the museum.     질병으로 인해 어려움 속에 계신분들 모두 건강하게 치료되시고 치유되시길 간절히 바랍니다. 아픔을 외면하지 않고 사랑의 손길로 함께하여 주신 훌륭한 분들이 계셨다는 지난 역사속 말씀에 가슴 뭉클함과 감사한 마음이 들었습니다. 뜻하지 않은 병으로 인해 원치 않는 인생의 길을 살아가셔야 했지만 환한 미소를 잃지 않으시고 자식 사랑에도 애뜻하셨던 마음을 깊이 안아드리고 싶습니다. 이젠 세상의 바람을 같이 바라보며 맞이하시고 행복 누리시길 바랍니다.
