Is that a 50s p neck -1.75 inches at the nut width or a more contemporary p neck with the 1.625 nut width??

Putting a Jazz Bass neck on a Precision body is a popular mod, but I see a lot of people taking those P bass necks and putting them on a Jazz bass, just like this. If you want that unmistakable jazz bass sound, but don't like the skinny jazz bass neck, this is a great option. Sounds great with what I assume are TI Jazz Flats.

That's cool. I prefer the other way around. I play a P Bass with a Jazz neck attached to it.

Xenia having a ton of fun with this hybrid Fender Bass: It is has a Fender P-Bass maple neck and fingerboard attached to a Roadworn 60's Jazz Bass Body in Fiesta Red loaded with Ted Vig's Custom Handwound J-Bass pickups. Currently strung with flatwounds and played with a grey felt plectrum. She is playing it through a 1963 Fender Blonde Bassman Head (Tube chart code indicates December 1963; Transformer code indicates the 6th week of 1963.)

hi! that looks like a std 10 to me (you can check by measuring neck width or string spacing - I think std 10 is 3.25" and grand is 3.75" though you may want to check SE's site to verify - they can also give you complete info if you give them the serial #) IIRC the flaps dual nut system came out a year or so before the 10 grand, so I'm not sure any 10 string grands were made with individual nut posts

You got a great guitar there. Tried the denim blue today. It is on the buy list. It blew out of the water some of the $2500 Taylor I tried in the strore. They had killer one by Larrivee. A beauty but it was close to $3k so I will have to take a pass. The Songsmith was holding its ground against the Larrivee quite well given the price difference. Great playing by the way. Let me know if you still like it 9 months after your post.
